I have the E firestorm flux with a 30t pinion gear on it so the top speed is very fast. I did have a 34t on it but it would over heat after afew runs. I broke the front chassis during Covid lockdown and no where had the parts, so i bought a Traxxas Rustler VXL TSM 2WD and comparing them both the Firestorm feels so much better well made and more premium compared to the Rustler. And the Rustler is more money than the Firestorm!

HPI was Arrma before Arrma was around. They were known for being super tough and good handling. I wish they were still a big player in the RC game, but you don't hear much about HPI anymore. 🙁

Brakes can be adjusted via the esc in the instructions. I have mine adjusted so the rear wheels completely lock up under full braking.

Honestly, I think the Firestorm is complete shit. Mine has broken 4 times in 4 days, twice because I "crashed" it at about 2kph. Nice video tho.

@@tomtracks3007 I'm pretty sure Hpi still sells the Firestorm, it is just updated. Same thing with the Blitz, as they upgrade electronics and certain body packages the discontinue the older version and it is listed as a different model.
