HPI RS4 - restored O S engine, home-made underbody (ground effect), diffuser and belt tensioner.

This car came out better than imagined when i first looked at it.
The car is now good for another 20+ years of enjoyment.
The only thing left is to change the wheels with Tamiya dish wheels (equipped with the original HPI tires).
Specs:
Car: 1st Generation HPI RS4 Nitro.
Engine: O.S. Max .15 CV-X
Exhaust: HPI tuned pipe.
Alloy parts: HPI and GPM.
Drive belts: Tough Racing kevlar reinforced.
Bodyshell: Tamiya (Honda Raybrig NSX JGTC).
Weight: 1,6 kg.
HPI Carbon fiber shock towers and upper chassis.
HPI 2-speed.
Tamiya alloy servo mounts.
Graupner fuel filter (1650.1)
Home-made polycarbonate underbody with integrated rear diffuser.
Home-made belt tensioner.

top notch build!! I love that color combo on the OS, I have two os 12 cv-x and one OS 18 TZ, best engines ever, in terms of reliability. Not I need to work on getting my 2-speed to shift in this exact car.

Thanks mate! I thought the purple engine mounts were a bit too colourful, but once it was on the chassis, it didn't look as bad as i thought it would be. Couldn't agree more, never had a problem with an O.S. before, they're made to last! Love the red heatsink head on your 12 CV-X, it really looks menacing! Hope the gears of your 2-speed are alright mate, they are becoming pretty rare!

Hey bro im having a hard time getting parts do you know where i can get dog bone .. Or cv shafts for this car ... I think i have same model not sure getting different answers from different people .... Its my first nitro i bought used it runs just need parts ... Can u help???

This one is the first generation HPI RS4, and specific parts for this chassis are very hard to get. All i can say is to keep your eyes open. Sometimes parts show up on ebay.

@@michaelross5674 If it's belt driven, it's a 1st or 2nd generation. For both generations, parts are difficult to find. On this page you can search for the part numbers. Tricky question, i'm not allowed to receive money next to the income i already have (complicated rule in the Netherlands for partially disabled people) If you're in the USA, i think it would be cheaper to make it yourself.
