I made the same mistake of using the hardened spur with the normal clutch bell and destroyed my 19t clutch bell ☹️

Even the hpi savage monster trucks are discontinued. There still legendary monsters! I own 2 of them. The flux hp and the nitro savage.

Ooooh I got those years ago haha. They were early Integy ones, but not great, the shaft's kept on snapping, so I swapped them out and they've been fine. I'll let you know if I come across any similar ones.

Honestly, if they are meshed properly, they will last years and years. The only reason we swapped our stock plastic one after 8 years, was because we had a spare metal one lying around. But the plastic one was still perfectly fine👌

Should the rc nitro savage 4.6 be able to roll forward and backwards freely when the engine is turned off?

yes thats normal on any nitro, because the clutch isn`t engaged

My savage 4.6 only moves freely forward but not backwards when engine is switched off, what could the problem be?

@@Joseph-qx7pe never experienced that problem, but i recommend checking your entire drivetrain and breakes.

Why did you use plastic spur after removing the metal? today I broke plastic spur and replaced it with metal

Having a plastic spur is the better option, if it gets munched it's relatively cheap to replace, having a metal spur will pass stress onto the next weakest part in the drive train causing damage which is not as cheap to replace like drive cups, dog bones, diffs or your engine
