I think I recall your first build of this kit around the time I first started watching this channel during Covid lockdown. I'm glad to see they have included "real" tires in this kit, especially since Round 2 is really making some beautiful tires these days. Always good to build a kit a second time, especially if you enjoyed it the first time or you want to correct any errors you might have made on the first attempt.

At 6:06, not Hooker Header decals but Plymouth "Devil Heart" markings. Haven't seen many of those reproduced in scale. Thanks for the GREAT review!

I really wish Round2 would release a stock 66 Barracuda. My Dad had one when I was a kid. It was supposed to have been my first car but "life" happened.

My brother bought the amt stock barracuda in 1966. He chopped in half and made a purple dragster out of it. I agree with you - reissue this stock version.

I have been wishing the same thing! My parents had one when I was very young and I would love to build a replica of it to give to my dad, he has always regretted the selling of ours.

Looks like a GREAT kit. I build a lot of hardbody 1/25 slot cars. A couple of these will be on the build table this fall !!!

Well done Chris, Your color choice works well with this set of decals. Of course, as you like to say, build it the way you want to. Now, if we can get AMT to re-tool this kit with factory stock parts, I and many others will be able to build this 'cuda the way we prefer too. I saw this Plymouth in dark navy blue on the showroom floor when my family was shopping cars in '66. As a family car, it lost to a Chrysler 300 also in the showroom that we bought, but I've always wanted a ''66 Barracuda.

Question from an old school modeler only familiar with Testors model glue. When you purposely liberally apply super glue on the say the outside of the heads to the engine block does the super glue leave marks that shoe up under the paint like traditional model glue does? Does the superglue activator leave any marks or stains? Thank you!

So funny story: this kit is a wierd amalgamation of two different kits. The chassis and interior are from the MPC '68 Hemi Under Glass kit, but the body is from the AMT '65 Hemi Under Glass... apparently somewhere along the way, molds were lost or damaged, so they just combined the two kits. The chassis in this kit is highly inaccurate for the '65 version, but if you put the '68 Barracuda body on it, it's correct, give or take.

Hemi under glass was a '68 Cuda. I think they had an early version too.

There were actually 3 Hemi Under Glass cars... the original non-supercharged '65, the supercharged '68, and then in the 90's Bob Riggle, the original driver of the first two, built a '69 Hemi Under Glass, and that's the one he rolled with Jay Leno riding along.
