HPR: Is the Samsung Model RD28R7351SG a good refrigerator?

Here is a review of the refrigerator we have in our kitchen. It is a Samsung Food Showcase 28-cu ft. Model RF28R7351SG with icemaker.
We are not affiliated with Samsung or Lowes and paid full price for the product. I do not have any discounts to offer nor do I receive anything whether you buy one or not. This is simply my honest opinion about a product I purchased to meet a need. Should you wish to take a look, here is the link:

I bought one from lowes today. Paid $2339. (April 24,2022) seemed like all the refrigerators were out of stock everywhere we went. So we kinda got stuck with this one. Only thing i didn't like was there was hardly no room in the doors for condiments. And I feel like the ice maker takes up to much room in the refrigerator. I love the flex drawer though. I thought that was so neat. I will use it as deli and cheese probably like you. My husband thought the water jug was cool. I didn't really care for it. As it took up more room lol

Yes, I think the biggest drawback is the icemaker in the refrigerator. That actually is a pretty good price, considering the list price.

Ever notice how the inside rim of the doors and edge of the outside get hot? Just got this today…is this normal for condensation prevention? Bottom edge inside appears to be very hot

Just went and got one at Lowes today they had it in stock we paid $2,369 on 4/2/22

I paid 2600 because it was out of stock everywhere and I got it from Samsung website

Does this fridge have a dispenser light? If so how do you cut it on? I have looked and read the manual and cannot find out the info I need.

Yes, it comes on with the water. So you have to have your cup in the right position in the dark, but you can see when it's full.

I just brought few months back. The right side door on the inside how do you move the metal bar. I can’t seem to move mine.

Ours flips up and down. Doesn't really do much. Maybe it is to help with taller items?

I bought this back in 2020, I do love it, but I do have a few cons, 1- I wish the shelves on the door I could move up or down for taller bottles, and the ice, mine looks like it’s frosted, I had a service call and someone came out to fix the problem, but I still have the same issue. Do you have that with your ice?

Yup. It's always frosty and soft. It's because it's in the refrigerator part instead of the freezer. It's just not cold enough.

I bought one at Sears Scratch & dent [American Freight] for 2387.00 and it works great except the icemaker stopped making ice after four days, still waiting for a repair guy to come, sent by Samsung ???????

Good luck! We haven't had to find out how the service is.
