I just watched this tutorial again to get a better understanding on USB cable connection. From my interpretation of this video, are you saying I don't have to leave the USB cable permanently plugged in to my laptop for it to print, copy, and scan in wireless mode even after installing the software; plus the fact my laptop is not Bluetooth enabled. Is that correct?

+carly1luv Download the latest drivers for your printer from support.hp.com. Power on your printer and open the installation file. Follow the prompts until you get to the connection screen. Select the Wireless option, and when prompted, connect the USB cable. Continue following the prompts until asked to disconnect the USB cable. Follow the remaining prompts to finish installing your printer.

HP 3755 doesn't have usb connector on the package bought it on Amazon. I hope this one will still work enevthough I don't have usb..

Just wondering, I bought twice hp printer set in Manila and Singapore before those usb cables are included on the package printer. This is the first time I bought a brand new hp printer set here in Amazon canada. No included usb cables... how come? It should be included in the brand new package..why do we need to buy a separate usb cord... ?

Will this actually give the user 2 choices for printing: either from WiFi or from USB cable connection ? If that is the case, then ALL printers should allow such an easy installation process. In the 21st century, it is not normal that we have to go through hoops and loops to install a printing device on a home network. There are too many differences from one tutorial to another. The cloud storage business will end up eating up the world of printers if you don't make it easier on people to install the printing devices. It can be simply brutal at times and also counter productive. That being said, this tutorial is well made, time now to test if this temporary USB cable connection tip you propose here will work on any HP printer model. Or just work on mine. Or on some model nobody is using anymore.

I Have a PhotoSmart C6280 and it dont see it i connected by usb cable one time but hp smart dont see it and i try ethernet hp smart still dont see ( some of program see it like hp scan doctor but after she doing check te cable who is good connected )

It does not find Internet connection when I choose USB ;( and it prints test page with no problem... model 3700 was working ok, and now my new one 3762 wireless one, won't connect with usb :((

You guys have to do a better job with your in box instructions. No mention that a USB cable isn't included. WPS Pin - Explain what it is and WHERE TO FIND it. Seriously, my night is ruined because of HP. This is nonsense. disgusting incompetence on the part of those involved in churning out the instructions. Suggestion, before green lighting the instruction manual why don't you have a team or focus group go through them and get some feedback.

Just bought this printer and dont have the USB cable which needs to have a SQUARE end connector. All modern "usb" cables have a flat end. So now I have to jump on my car again and buy a special cable? Are you joking? Am tempted to use bad language. Or is it because it's an "office" printer the cable connect is different? Why not say so ON THE BOX OR DESCRIPTION!!! Explain please?
