Just bought deskjet 2800e, and trust me, it's a pain to set it up. Please stay away from HP 😕😕 It asks to press the i button on the printer then moves in circles. Why cannot they make things simple?? Very annoyed

100% Correct. I bought it because it was cheap and I wanted something running off an inverter in the back of my work vehicle. Just a coinstant pain in the butt. You know @hpsupport you don't need to make your own process up. Canon does it better, Epson is fantastic. Buy one of their cheap printers and see how they do it, you'll be amazed. No on line accounts required too.

Didn't work. I had the HP Smart app installed. The app couldn't find my printer. Been starting everything from square one. Been wasting ink and paper to print instructions and such yet didn't get my phone connect to it. I am very disappointed with this. I prefer having more manual buttons on the printer than just heavily relying on tablets or smartphones.

I’m having problems setting up the hp smart deskjet 2800e as well. I’m connected to the internet but it will not print. The orange light keeps blinking beneath the display window showing E0. We’ve checked that our paper is in properly etc. all is working…except it won’t print!

Im an guy that fix computers and electronic but im not able to install your printers. I've try it on 4 models and results is always the same.... I sincerely dont recommend purchasing this series of printers. Instalation is extremely hard. It requires wifi home network for instalation. It does not work over usb connection. Even after instalaton windows returns no driver for printer error.

@HPSupport Model HP deskjet 2800e, computer works on Win 10. Widows instalation recognizes WiFi printer and printer prints pin number. After entering pin, progress bar fills and returns error "driver not installed". HP smart app doesn't discover printer even it is in discovery mode. Probably problem is that at instalation place, I dont have home wifi or netwprk and computer access internet through mobile hotspot. (Limited metering is disabled)

Thanks for getting back to me, As you mentioned you have issues connecting your printer to the mobile hotspot. Mobile hotspot does not have much bandwidth to support printer communication, So it is not recommended to connect your printer using the mobile hotspot. Please try few steps mentioned below. 1. Go to control panel. 2. Go to network and the internet. 3. Go to network connections. 4. In related settings, go to "Change adapter options" 5. Right click on "wireless network connection" and go to properties. 6. Click Configure and then Advance. 7. In properties, "802.11n Preamble", selected, select value "mixed mode" And click ok and click done Also, you can print using wireless direct. Let me know. Regards, HP Support
