I never knew the influence of the song. Was drinking some absinthe, researching it simultaneously, then Wikipedia mentioned Hemingway and his like for absinthe. Clicked on this video for lyrics and scrolled for Hemingway comments. Here you were. Not much of a reader, but gonna read me some Hemingway. He survived a short life with 2 debilitating plane crashes, they probably caused his pain and drinking. 4 marriages! Multiple wars involved in.
