Love the series Darryn and you having her finally on the road. Enjoy mate so many blood, sweat and tears there. You have a great way of explaining things. It's a credit to you. Here's to many years of happy cruising. Have an XF nearly ready for paint. All sleeper spec with 600hp barra that I cant wait to finish. Little by little is the key.

Matey, really enjoyed the build…super clean & neat with the engine bay, and the overall build is excellent. I also like your approach with the console & some trim bits not being “perfect” it’s good to see bloke understand driving cars is what it’s all about..as we don’t all have bottomless money tins, nor building trailer queens Good on you champ

Cheers, Mathew. Yes mate some times you have to make the choice of having older parts and driving it or keep saving until you get what you want. I want to keep costs down and drive it sooner. I had seen it sitting in the shed for 15 years already, and that was more than enough for me. Thanks for the great comments, Appreciated. Darryn

Thanks Heap mate, I am enjoying it, I try to drive somewhere most weekend. It has taken almost 14 months to iron 99% the bugs out of it. Just a few little rattles from driving it on country roads to sort out..

Thanks Man, the plastic bag is an old sign writer/ airbrush trick, The Caprice were and still are very nice. I went to buy a HZ Caprice but it had some rust and at the time i couldn't weld and didn't have the extra cash to pay someone to repair it. Loverly Cars

@@rustandpaint Yeah cool, something I'd not seen done before or heard of but it looked great! Yeah I miss that old girl, I got it super cheap & was half way through a ground up resto. Hey bro nice job have you thought running your air con through your console ,console will act like a pipe then put a vent on each side , job done kids in the back need air too

Cheers. I like the AC idea. I hadn't thought of that. I rarely have people in the back. I was thinking of a venetian blind. the main issue is that your head is in the sun when you sit in the back.

great job mate.. could you please tell me what you think of that AC unit? im thinking of buying the same one. is it really cold? i live in a hot climate and looking for something that will cool my HZ sedan down when its 40 degrease out side..thanks

Hi David, I haven't had much of a chance to run it a lot. I didn't hook it up for quite some time in case i need to do work, which requires removing the ac compressor. Today was 34 degrees. we drove down the coast with it on 3, and it was good, my sister in law was in the back and said she was fine. it is quite cold and pushes out quite a bit of air. Overall, I'm happy with it. unfortunately for anyone in the rear of the coupe is not going to be as cool because your head is in the sun. I only have 4 small vents, which makes it noisy. The vents feel a bit cheap, but they do have others. I think it was around the $2200 mark. I priced classic air it was 5k fitted

Hi Russell I made them out of 12mm x 2mm stainless flat bar. in one of the videos there is a bit on how I did it.
