No kidding. I understand everything in our society evolves, but I think we really lost something when they stopped making these types of movies.

Scotty Beckett was so cute and handsome. Sad his life so tragic at 38.

Aside from chivalry and serenades... I think the public lost the taste and knack for such densely arranged harmonies! That style of voicing is so awesome! I miss having that as our pop music!

@@tiarailic4086 I loved this music of my parents' generation since I was age 10 and got mocked a lot by the kids because of it, but I figured they didn't know what was good. Had to focus on the thought, though, that I tend to doubt any gal being serenaded by a Scotty Becket "dream boy" wouldn't be putting up a fuss about it and wouldn't have had to be instructed by her father to "go down and talk to him." Scotty of course wasn't a singer but he put this song over very well. Sad that he came to such a tragic end at such a young age.

@@georgehewett6243 I love these movies! I'm the same. I fell in love with music from the 40s when I was 12. I've loved classic movies and musicals ever since 😊 makes me feel nostalgic and happy. My siblings and I used to harmonize together the songs of The Andrew's Sisters and we sounded pretty swell😉
