You make it look so easy but I know it’s going to take lots of practice ♥️ and that boarder looks gorgeous 👍🏼

Hi Paula, I recently purchased a used Sweet 16 and love it. Your videos are so, so helpful. Just went I'm thinking of a question, you cover it in the video. Thank you much. You are a wonderful teacher/instructor! I look forward to looking back on your videos and more to come. Pittsburgh, Pa USA!

Very nice! This is a very helpful video. I love your fabric choices, and I see my favorite in there, Tim Holtz fabric! I like the way you do feathers and I am going to try that. I have been nervous about feathers, but the way you do them looks so cute and you don't worry about perfection! I like that.

Thanks Marguerite :) I feel like in the big scheme of things one wonky feather isn't going to bother me :) I enjoy the process much more than worrying about absolute perfection! Hugs Paula PS. I did a video on how I practice drawing feathers too :)

Hi Lori, The instructions I received with my overlay said to put down the tape first to protect your table... I'm sorry I'm not sure what instructions you received, but I was able to remove my overlay so I could take my machine to a workshop with no problems... Hugs Paula

Hi Paula, Thank you for all your wonderful information for using my Sweet Sixteen. Could you please explain how you ditched the quilt before you started the ruler work. Did you ditch the outside of each block or did you follow a seam that went across and then down he quilt?

Paula, thank you so much for this series! I just ordered my Sweet Sixteen and am binge watching videos so I'm ready when it arrives. It distressed me so to watch the Handi Quilter videos and see questions from months and years ago that were never answered. It made me reconsider my purchase because I wondered if I would have such poor service if I ran into an issue! You've restored my faith. One question...do you see or feel the need for specialized echo feet? If so, which one(s)? Thank you again!
@PaulaStorm7 жыл бұрын
Hi Cindy, Thanks so much for your lovely comments! I know your going to love your Sweet! When it comes to echo feet, personally I haven't used them but I can see it would be very handy! It really depends on the style of quilting you do. When you buy the echo feet all the different sizes come in one set, so you don't need to choose a size. I have the yarn couching feet and I really like them! I can see the echo feet being fantastic for ruler work too. Let me know how you get on with your sweet 😃 Hugs Paula

About how much is the Table overlay and is this machine Expensive? I would love to hv one!....Sheila

MUST you have the overlay in order to use the rulers or can you do without it?
@PaulaStorm9 жыл бұрын
I did use a straight ruler without the overlay at the start. I mainly used it for ditch stitching, so yes you can. However if you plan on using rulers a lot I would recommend getting the overlay :) Hugs Paula

great video-----I am new to sweet 16; quilting in the ditch to stabilize is good info Love your background music--what is the name of it?
@PaulaStorm10 жыл бұрын
Hi Ann, Thanks so much for commenting :) I'm not sure what the music is to be honest, it was in my iMovie software as a royalty free music track... but its lovely isn't it :) Hugs Paula

Great so the instructions said to mount the table overlay to the table which I did ! Now what ? Why would handiquilter tell you to mount to the table if it will destroy your table ?

Did you ditch with a walking foot or on your Sweet Sixteen?
@mariv38969 жыл бұрын
Paula, can you do a video discussing how you hold your hands while moving the quilt. I noticed you only wore 1 glove at time. Do you bunch up and pull the quilt with one hand and guide with the other? Also are your elbows up and off the table? Do you rest them on the table? A "quilt movement" video would be very nice. Thanks

Fantastic suggestion Mari! I will definitely work on that for future videos!! Hugs Paula

Your quilting is lovely. How long have you been using the Sweet Sixteen. Also how long have you been free motion quilting? Would love to try this.
