I loved it, I wasn't so much a fan of their earlier work but I loved Adore. There's an even better live version of this on KZbin somewhere, it's more guitar driven and it's just pure rock.

This is my favourite album of theirs! But, it also marked the beginning of the end for me.... Thank GOD, my now EX-ASSHOLE and I didn't get those matching SP tattoos when we got married. We met because of this band, this was my 1st concert ever, got married, had 2 daughters, and due to me getting Postpartum Psychosis after delivering our 2nd daughter, he dumped me in the middle of a scary crisis, filed for divorce which violated my 1st Amendment due to religion, got Sole Custody of our kids, stole and redeemed MY bond, turned my daughters against me, and violated our "Parenting Plan" that I FILED and WON my own Modification. Yup! I am PRO SE on this cuz NO attorneys can't deal with a long, complicated, and controversial case. So, it's kinda funny that Billy, mainly has a partner/wife, 2 kids, and yeah, his partner's name is CHLOE: My oldest daughter! Until now, my EX doesn't give a fuck. He threw it all away and didn't understand how good he had it. Don't make this mistake kids! When you follow your ❤ take your brain with you too....

This is the era were they need a whole drum set, 2 sets of percussion and a piano to replace the void that Jimmy left behind
@arthuraa22964 жыл бұрын
They did tour like that....funny stuff
@Faks.09 Жыл бұрын
Adore was not recorded with Jimmy, this comment is cringe
@briandavis7608 Жыл бұрын
Jimmy seems to handle the songs from Adore just fine by himself on recent tours. No additional percussionists needed, so the comment is 100% accurate. They also needed multiple drummers for 1979 for live performances after Jimmy was fired on the MCIS tour, and it was most definitely recorded with Jimmy.
@Faks.09 Жыл бұрын
@@briandavis7608 disagree about the first one, i just like 1998 versions better and 1979 used drum machine or something like on in the studio version
@nAJlaTeH4eG4 ай бұрын
@@briandavis7608 there is additional percussion because it is an artistic intent, not because Jimmy's a superhuman who plays for ten people. What a cringy fanboy

This was the most boring, pointless era of the Pumpkins. Seeing them in 1996 was a magical moment in time and seeing them in 1998 with 4-5 other bald guys blowing whistles and playing piano and synths was just bizarre. Only 40 year olds liked this era at the time.

Adore album was great. The band was going through changes, Jimmy gone, internal problems in the band, changing music tastes and time going on. Bands/people go through diff phases and times in their life, you cant expect them to release the same style of music over and over. After Mellon Collie, you cant top something like that. It existed in a certain time and place for the band. Billy has said Adore was made while the band was coming apart. The album overall has a dark mature elegance to it, still a great album
