Hi I'm looking to transition to HR space although im from operations domain but always very keen and have good functional understanding plus I'm specialising in Strategic Human Resource management. How should I go about this?

Hi Cat. If you already work in HR Operations or Business Operations, I think you are a perfect candidate to transition to HR and become an HR Business Partner. You understand how a business works and can predict and plan for people challenges. I would focus on my transferable skills, business knowledge, commercial side and think about my work examples I have done to to date in order to make this move. Have you started applying yet? Are there any internal opportunities where you work now? I find sometimes internal moves are the best if you can secure them.

Just to add, I have gone for a senior people consultant role for Capgemini and my examples worked. I was offered the role. I declined it as I was offered another one I wanted.
