Gretchen has quickly become my favorite go-to for vocal jazz. She is amazing. With her, you can’t separate the music from the vocals....she is the music. She interprets this Herbie Hancock classic with such fluidity and ease that causes one to just melt into the music. She magically weaves a musical web that you are drawn closer & closer to until you are completely captured.

thats a refined real classic version, but to my ears it lacks the soulful grooves of hancock that she did on the version with her husband in the drums and the other versiob with meshell ndegeocello. but this version is good too.
