Years ago when doing a lot of council oil servicing, I came across loads of Wallstars. They were all the the older style though. Nice and simple but not very efficient! Hardly ever see them anymore now in the private domestic market. A colleague one had a great idea to fit a HRM burner plug to his Henry hoover, so he could plug it into the boiler outside, and therefore do a full service and clean without even going in the house for power or the tenant having to be in. All great in theory but when he fired it up for the first time it of course blew the 5A fuse for the heating circuit and he had to wait for the tenant to get back home later that day so he could go in and get their heating back on 😂

now that is funny!!! We now have 240volts on all the vans to overcome this. Just need to work out how to switch the rain off whilst we service them 🤣

Nice video Rob. Watching from New Hampshire USA. Do you use oil de-aerators when the burner is higher than the oil level? I find air in the fuel also causes sooting. 👍🏻

Have a look at SOS Ultimate Suction pump. Expensive but worth every penny

I'll second the SOS ultimate suction pump... it is one of those tools, spends a lot of time doing nothing but sometimes nothing else will do.
