Thank you SOOOOOO much Freddie! You enabled me to get my heating restored at a time I wouldn't have a chance in hell of getting a technician out! I really appreciate you putting in the time to make this video - thank you so much! :-)

Thank you sir . Watching your video fixed mine . I’ve never touched anything related to that . Around 11:00 pm my wife told me it’s cold in the house . Than she went to sleep . I turn the hot water to wash up before going to bed . I noticed only cold freezing water ! No hot water . So I went downstairs to see if we have any oil in the tank ! What I found is absolutely no oil ! Tank is dry empty! I woke the wife to order oil . She did online but it would take 2 - 3 days for them to come ! After online searching I learned I can put some diesel 5 gallons or so and it should let us go by for a few days . Drove up to gas station and brought 10 gallons of diesel. Por it into the tank & it won’t fire up ! Search online and found your video . Fallowing your steps and I start bleeding it until I got normal flow of oil than the miracle happened. Thanks to you man we’re back in business . Best regards to you stay safe and keep the good work . God bless you 😀😀😅

Yes it worked!! Thanks! I've no idea where to get one of those bleed valves - yet - but a piece of hose pipe was enough to prevent me from redecorating the downstairs loo. The technical info and step by step procedure made sense and explained the whole thing brilliantly.

Thank you so much - I followed your guidance and my heating is work again. Air in the pump, drained it twice till the fuel poured out solid and then it fired up. :)

I don't have that special bleeding device, but the process I followed successfully was outlined by Freddie in this video. Before, I was using the "return" instead of the "bleed". It is helpful to see a comparison of different types of equipment, and a summary of what they basically do. It is daunting how much variety of equipment is "in the field", and calling a service man out for a simple bleed is very expensive. It is also interesting to see the water and the bacteria in the jar of oil. We live close to the sea and are known for our harsh weather, so I am sure our oil tank is filling up with water... on the bottom!

other sources saying the Allen key grub screw on the left side is the correct one for bleeding. here he's using the pressure valve with an extra adapter ?!

aw you said you were gonna show us the gloves later on and you didnt LOL :D we moved into a house last December with an outdoor Tigerloop device - brilliant device. No more problem with bleeding when the tank runs dry. Do they also seperate water from the oil as well or is there another device for that?

Good informative video. However I was disappointed that you didn't show us how to check and adjust the oil pressure when you had the guage attached. I accidently moved the pressure adjuster, thinking it was the air bleed valve. I turned it back to what I think was the original position but I need to be more accurate

with all due respect why take the time to make an apparently helpful video and then use tools / gadgets that very few people watching this video would have to hand. People watching this video simply want to know how to do a basic bleed to get their heating back on not watch you demonstrate a set of gadgets
@sambutler9275 жыл бұрын
Robert Adair this isn’t aimed at joe bloggs it’s for technicians. You have no competency to touch an oil heating appliance so you should call the professionals
