A wonderful performance by a magnificent orchestra of one of my favorite Ravel pieces in a setting that’s breathtakingly beautiful! This is a little reminiscent of Ravinia near Chicago or perhaps Tanglewood in Mass. or Interlachen in Michigan. I would absolutely love to attend a performance by this orchestra under the stars in Weseler Wurft. This is now on my bucket list.

Also one of my favourite Ravel works and a great orchestra for sure. However apart from the river I can't see anything breathtakingly beautiful about the setting. Europe has thousands of extraordinary settings for outdoor performances but I wouldn't count this as one of them.

Brava la flauta solista española Clara Estrada. Bravo Pablo Heras Casado que ha dado el carácter español a la excelente Orquesta hr Frankfurt. Mal todas las imágenes de los edificios y paisaje urbano que nada se corresponde con la música.
