nitiating hormone replacement therapy (HRT) with estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone at the onset of menopause has been associated with various health benefits. Below is a summary of the potential reductions in disease risk: 1. Osteoporotic Fractures: Risk Reduction: HRT has been shown to decrease the risk of osteoporotic fractures by approximately 33%. Reference: UPTODATE 2. Colorectal Cancer: Risk Reduction: Some studies suggest a reduction in colorectal cancer risk among HRT users, though specific percentages vary. Reference: U.S. PREVENTIVE SERVICES TASK FORCE 3. Type 2 Diabetes: Risk Reduction: HRT may lower the incidence of type 2 diabetes, with some studies indicating a relative risk reduction of about 30%. Reference: U.S. PREVENTIVE SERVICES TASK FORCE 4. Cardiovascular Disease: Risk Reduction: When initiated in women under 60 or within 10 years of menopause onset, HRT may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease by approximately 30%. Reference: AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CARDIOLOGY 5. All-Cause Mortality: Risk Reduction: Some analyses indicate a reduction in all-cause mortality among HRT users, though exact percentages can vary based on study design and population. Reference: BMC WOMEN'S HEALTH It's important to note that while these potential benefits exist, HRT should be individualized based on a woman's health profile and discussed with a healthcare provider.

The saddest thing about the WHI study in 2002 was that a whole generation of women have been completely ignored when it comes to HRT. I am now 63. I had hot flashes for over a decade, suffering through many a day and being wakened in the night several times by night sweats. I used to have to soak my pajamas in water to be able to sleep and even then, my night sweats would turn the water to steam! I suffered for years this way until just a year ago when I discovered that HRT was making a come back. But then I kept seeing that past 60 is too old to start. But I found a meno specialist and after a few appointments, she finally agreed to start me on a low dose patch. NO MORE HOT FLASHES! I feel so much better and so far, everything is going well. I may not get the same benefits as if I'd started at 53, but being able to sleep through the night is a wonderful thing. Women's health is so ignored by the male dominated medical field. We need more female researchers and women demanding equality in health care.

Agreed! We missed about 25 yers of HRT use! We lost a generation. I'm sorry for this. HRT was not universal before 2022 either. My mother became very ill and passed away at 60 years. It was a nightmare because I didn't know the Obgyn could help her. We were using other specialists. Mistake!

You're wonderful and so beautiful, your skin is so wrinkle free. I can't get one Dr to give me anything but vag estradiol at 66, 67 in July. Since menopause at 48 my whole body went to hell in a hand basket, all the reg probs a long with diabetes high blood pressure arthritis (had 1 shoulder replacement, need another on Rt side too, both knees and a hip, 3 vertebrae replacements) high cholesterol, depression. Almost for 20 yrs and no Dr helped. I went to Mexico and got the horse piss estrogen and it worked very well but stop taking it. Now with the internet I've learned so much more about HRTs but even on line drs won't help me but give me vag estradiol. I asked for patches, testosterone, etc. and was rudely in formed to reread the stupid FDA standard of care BS. I don't care, l want the quality of life here, lm going down will fast! I had lots of hormones in my youth bc l was sexy, high sex drive beautiful skin hair etc. But after menopause l was a different person and divorced too bc l hated sex, couldn't get aroused, no feeling, painful sex, pains everywhere in my body. No Dr will help that l feel like buying from an Indian pharmacy. What do you think? Your very encouraging to me and helpful. These Dr don't care.

I am also 63 and have the exact same history with hot flashes, starting at age 54. My fingers would actually drip on my work keyboard during a hot flash at work! I mentioned it to multiple doctors, but nothing was offered and the other ramifications of menopause was not discussed. I was left with the impression that I just had to tough it out. I didn’t have the understanding that there was actually much more going on in my body than hot flashes. After a year of pelvic pain, with supposedly no cause found, I have finally be referred to a Urogynecologist and diagnosed with hypertonic pelvic floor and vaginal atrophy. I recently started vaginal estradiol cream which does help a bit. However I haven’t been able to get a transdermal patch…yet. Still working on that now that I am more aware, but that age 60 limit is an obstacle. I’m not sure how a specific age can be set, no matter that we are all individuals! Thanks for sharing your journey!

Thank you!! I’ve been on my own with this. I was offered every drug -except HRT! I’m 65 and only just started on a low dose of estradiol & progesterone. I lost all those years, when I could have been feeling great! BUT I am very excited about the present and future. It’s very difficult to obtain the meds though, unfortunately.

People with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) may have an increased risk of several medical and psychological conditions, often referred to as “comorbidities” (conditions that occur alongside autism). The presence of these conditions can vary widely from person to person, and they can influence the individual’s overall health and quality of life. Here are some of the common comorbidities and associated increased risks: 1. Mental Health Disorders • Anxiety: People with autism are at a significantly higher risk of developing anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and phobias. Studies suggest that up to 40-50% of individuals with autism experience anxiety symptoms. • Depression: Rates of depression are higher in individuals with ASD, especially in adolescents and adults. It’s estimated that around 20-40% of autistic individuals may experience depression at some point. • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): Many individuals with autism exhibit repetitive behaviors or obsessive interests, and some may also develop OCD. The overlap between OCD and ASD can make it difficult to differentiate between the two. • ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder): ADHD is common in those with ASD, with estimates showing that 30-50% of individuals with autism also have symptoms of ADHD. 2. Gastrointestinal (GI) Disorders • GI issues: People with ASD often experience gastrointestinal problems, including chronic constipation, diarrhea, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Studies suggest that 30-70% of individuals with autism have some form of GI disturbance. • Food sensitivities and allergies: Autistic individuals may have increased sensitivities to certain foods, which can contribute to GI issues or dietary imbalances. 3. Epilepsy and Seizure Disorders • There is a significantly higher prevalence of epilepsy in individuals with autism, with estimates ranging from 20-30%. Seizure disorders may develop at any age but are more common in childhood and adolescence, or even later in adulthood. • Sleep disturbances: Autism is often associated with disrupted sleep patterns, including difficulties falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up too early. 4. Immune System Dysregulation • Some studies suggest that people with autism may have abnormalities in immune function, leading to a higher susceptibility to autoimmune conditions such as allergies, asthma, and autoimmune disorders like type 1 diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis. 5. Metabolic and Endocrine Disorders • Obesity: Autistic individuals may have a higher risk of obesity due to poor diet, limited physical activity, and medication side effects. • Diabetes: Both type 1 and type 2 diabetes have been noted as more common in individuals with autism, although this may also relate to lifestyle factors, including diet and activity levels. • Thyroid disorders: Some research suggests a higher risk of thyroid dysfunction in individuals with ASD. 6. Intellectual Disability • A significant proportion of individuals with autism also have intellectual disabilities, although this varies based on the severity of the autism. Intellectual disability increases the risk of cognitive impairments and challenges with daily functioning. 7. Sleep Disorders • Many individuals with autism have difficulties with sleep, including insomnia, sleep apnea, and irregular sleep-wake patterns. Up to 50-80% of autistic children experience chronic sleep issues, which can exacerbate other behavioral and health challenges. 8. Eating Disorders • Feeding difficulties: People with autism often have sensory sensitivities that can affect eating habits, leading to food selectivity, picky eating, or texture aversions. This can result in nutritional deficiencies. • Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID): Some individuals with autism develop ARFID, a type of eating disorder characterized by extreme picky eating or avoidance of foods. 9. Motor Coordination Issues • Individuals with ASD may experience problems with motor coordination, including fine and gross motor skills. Dyspraxia (difficulty in movement and coordination) is commonly associated with autism. 10. Cardiovascular Conditions • Some research has suggested an increased risk of heart-related issues, particularly in those with severe autism or who also have other comorbid conditions. These could include heart arrhythmias or other cardiovascular issues, though more research is needed in this area. 11. Schizophrenia • The risk of developing schizophrenia later in life is higher in people with autism, especially during late adolescence or adulthood. However, this is a rare comorbidity, affecting only a small percentage of autistic individuals. 12. Sensory Processing Disorder • Many individuals with autism have sensory sensitivities, which can manifest as hyper- or hypo-reactivity to stimuli like sound, touch, light, or smell. Sensory processing issues can cause significant stress and discomfort in daily life. 13. Higher Risk of Injury • Individuals with autism may have a higher risk of injury due to behavioral challenges, wandering/elopement, or a lack of awareness of physical dangers. This is particularly a concern for children with autism. 14. Autoimmune Conditions • There is growing evidence to suggest a connection between autism and certain autoimmune diseases, such as psoriasis, celiac disease, or multiple sclerosis. However, more research is needed to fully understand this relationship. Summary of Health Risks for Autistic Individuals: • Mental Health: Anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD • Neurological: Epilepsy, sleep disorders, motor coordination issues • Gastrointestinal: Constipation, diarrhea, IBS • Immune: Autoimmune conditions, allergies • Metabolic: Obesity, diabetes, thyroid dysfunction • Cardiovascular: Possible increased risk of heart issues • Other: Sensory processing disorders, injury risks, intellectual disability Overall, people with autism are at higher risk for a variety of physical and mental health conditions, and it’s crucial that they receive comprehensive, individualized healthcare to address these comorbidities effectively.

In the research below, we find that HRT (especially the optimal HRT) is highly beneficial for older women even if they have been deficient in hormones for decades. There are benefits for dementia-prevention & reversal of progression of Alzheimer’s, brain health: lesions and cortex thickness, diabetes prevention, muscle development and maintenance, immune system health, bone health and metabolics. We should dose estradiol and other hormones to enhance sleep as deeper sleep correlates to fewer brain lesions (White Matter Hypersensitivities). The Alzheimer’s researchers used the highest manufactured doses of estradiol, but menopause experts at Newson Health Clinics say that 25% of women will need above a .1 mg estradiol patch. Do not be afraid of HRT. You are adding back your OWN HORMONE. You are adding back to premenopausal levels -- but not higher. You want the protection of premenopausal blood levels. If you have an odd or unexpected reaction - just dose down. You need not stop treatments. Benefits stop when treatments stop. Let’s use the BEST HRT. HRT is a category of drugs. They are not all equal in effects, yet they are often lumped together. I always go beyond the HRT research when I look at the benefits of estradiol, progesterone and testosterone. I give more weight to studies of transdermal estradiol and progesterone since that is the optimal HRT. (L’Hermite, 2013) Roberta Diaz Brinton, 2015 Alzheimer’s Researcher of the Year, stated “Estradiol is the superior form of estrogen.” In many of her papers, she also supports the use of progesterone over other synthetic progestogens. Roberta Diaz Brinton, PhD, is the director of the University of Arizona Center for Innovation in Brain Science at the University of Arizona Health Sciences. Dr. Brinton is a leading neuroscientist in the field of Alzheimer’s, the aging female brain and regenerative therapeutics. Her work in the last 10 years on Alzheimer’s reversal originally used estradiol with allopregnenolone to stop Alzheimer’s progression. We can combine estradiol with pregnenolone to create a similar protective effect. The North American Menopause Society does not explicitly recommend HRT for older women. They combine research on CEE (non estradiol) and synthetic progestogens with the optimal HRT of transdermal estradiol, micronized oral progesterone, and transdermal testosterone. (NAMS statement, 2022) The use of studies using suboptimal HRT is an unfortunate oversight. Different molecules have different effects. Clotting risk only applies to oral HRT (like CEE) that has first pass through the liver. (IMS, 2023) There is evidence that supports micronized progesterone as being safer than synthetic progestin therapy in terms of breast cancer and cardiovascular disease risk. (IMS, 2023) The dose and duration of MHT/HRT should be consistent with treatment goals and safety issues and should be individualized. (International Menopause Society Global MHT Consensus, 2013) Why Use HRT at Any Age? One great argument for giving identical molecule HRT to ANY woman is by identifying the functions of estradiol, progesterone and testosterone in the female body. Hormone by Hormone BRAIN BENEFITS in Only 8 Weeks At A High Dose: E2 Enhances Cognition: Another great reason to use HRT is to stop the progression of memory loss and attention issues. These studies use high dose estradiol only. 2 mg of .1% estradiol HRT for 1 year in the Yoon study (2003) showed increased daily activity and no expected degradation of memory scores in Alzheimer’s patients over age 65. Korean epidemiology reported that 4.2% of the elderly aged above 65 years have Alzheimer's. In the study that targeted South Korean Alzheimer's patients, HRT was administered for 1 year, and it was reported that the memory MMSE score did not decline (as it normally would in Alzheimer’s), although it showed similar effects to the representative Alzheimer's medicine, tacrine, regarding cognitive function, and that the HRT improved the daily activity capacity. Daily activity improvement means you are managing self-care! It improves exercise and diet. Thus, a very positive effect of HRT was reported. (Yoon, 2003) A 2001 study published in Neurology found a .1 mg estradiol patch improved attention and memory in Alzheimer’s patients over 80 years old in 8 weeks! (Asthana, 2001) The KEEPS study found no change in cognition for the .05 mg estradiol patch over 4 years of the study. E2 Prevents Amyloid Beta. E2 enhances cognition. In post-menopausal women aged 56-84 years given a .1 mg estradiol patch for 8 weeks, cognition improved significantly. However, cognitive response to estradiol HRT is modified by cortisol level. Managing cortisol will produce an enhanced positive response to estradiol HRT. Before cortisol was added to the estradiol (E2) treatment, E2 had favorable effects on verbal memory (p=0.03), working memory (p=0.02), and selective attention (p=0.04), and the magnitude of these effects was attenuated for E2+CORT. E2-alone and E2+CORT had opposing effects on plasma levels of the amyloid-β (Aβ) biomarker (Aβ40/42 ratio, p

Hello Kitty. Thank you for coming back on youtube. I'm 65 and stated looking for a doctor after your research and others as well. After 4 doctors, I found one that put me on HRT. I had to take several tests first. Bone scan, heart scan, and blood work. All came back excellent, except the bone scan. It showed ostopiena and osteoporosis (hip and spine). Long story short, I started with 0.375 transdermal patch and 100 mg prometruim capsule. Still had all the post menopausal symptoms. Now on 0.075mg transdermal patch and same prometruim. All symptoms seem to be gone. My question now is why have my boobs grown so large and are very tender? I do like the look! Anyway. I hope this helps some women my age to do research and get HRT educated. I feel like the Tin Man in the wizard of Oz when he got his can of oil! God bless and thank you. By the way, I've only been on HRT for 4 months this Nov 2022.

It’s never too late to start HRT.” Dr. Louise Newson. She has the largest menopause clinic in the UK with over 80 doctors. Older women might just need low doses. It’s personal and needs to be personalized. If you have been estrogen-deprived for many years, and start HRT, your body may respond differently to HRT. Estradiol, progesterone and testosterone protect your tissues from disease. Your body has changed without these hormones. It doesn’t receive the hormones as well as a younger woman that hasn’t been deprived. It’s an incredible shame! Still, there are benefits to getting HRT for future health. Some of the receptors in your body activate in seconds when they receive estradiol. However, some of your receptors are gone. Nutrients can make a big difference here. Come to coaching to personalize nutrition for HRT. The ELITE trial for HRT says “no benefit for (older) estrogen-deprived women, but also no harm”. However, some providers will still start HRT for women in their 60’s and older. You will need to shop around for a provider that will initiate hormones. A Functional Medicine provider is more likely to start you on hormones if you’ve been estrogen deprived over 10 years. If you have cardiovascular disease, they might start you on statins for the first year of HRT. They want to stabilize the plaque in case the estrogen interacts with that. This is all your experiment! See what it does for you. The HERS study said there are HRT benefits for women over 60 years. The Cache County Study saw benefits for older women (> 5 years since menopause) using HRT on Alzheimer’s reduction and brain health! This should be enough to get your experiment started! A Yale study of 400 women aged 80-92 found HRT to be beneficial! (IMS Video, 2022) Estradiol Supplement of women in late 50’s & early 60’s showed preservation of brain volume (compared to placebo which showed decreased volume) of the brain function DLPFC: An important function of the DLPFC is the executive functions, such as working memory, cognitive flexibility, planning, inhibition, and abstract reasoning. However, the DLPFC is not exclusively responsible for the executive functions. All complex mental activity requires the additional cortical and subcortical circuits with which the DLPFC is connected. The DLPFC is also the highest cortical area that is involved in motor planning, organization and regulation. (Kantarci, Mayo Clinic, 2017) Video of Kantarci (4 years of treatment, 3 years of follow-up) Oral CEE HRT was ineffective in preserving DLPFC volume. No dose mentioned. Korean epidemiology reported that 4.2% of the elderly aged above 65 years has Alzheimer's. (Yoon, 2003) The research currently reveals a “healthy cell bias”. This means that women without disease issues or metabolic issues benefit MORE from HRT. This especially applies when it comes to dementia! You can’t ravage your body and expect it to perform with the simple addition of HRT. HRT helps your metabolic numbers, but so does diet and exercise. If you have autoimmune genes, the HRT alone will not return your energy level to the point of health. Autoimmune clients need extra. This is where coaching helps you to create new habits and try non-toxic solutions to strengthen the immune system. An experiment with Paleo or AIP diets really can help here! HRT, alone, in late life does not appear to improve depressive symptoms. It could be that diet and exercise are critical. It could be that estrogen receptors have disappeared and cannot return. In this case, psychiatry may have some non-HRT solutions for you. Use of progesterone instead of synthetic progestins is critical to HRT mood results! We expect horrible mood issues with synthetic progestins -- this is legal! It definitely should be outlawed. In contrast, we see HRT eliminating depression in perimenopause for 80% of women. Early HRT protects the brain from damage, keeping your brain young. Women receiving HRT earlier seem to improve their cognitive performance compared to either older HRT-treated women or untreated women (MacLennan et al., 2006) However, we don’t have any information on older women treated with estradiol, progesterone, testosterone and a nutrient-rich diet like the AIP. Some conventional doctors will limit your HRT use to 5 or 10 years. You must fight this! The benefits of HRT stop when you stop the HRT! The Institute for Functional Medicine will not limit your use. If your risk for breast cancer is low, they may allow you to use HRT for the cardiovascular and osteoporosis benefits. One in three women over age 50 will experience osteoporotic fractures! This can be crippling and life-ending. The quality of life is horrible for someone with osteoporosis. Autoimmune Celiac disease (gluten intolerance) has also been linked to osteoporosis. IFM doctors will treat your food sensitivities and often find Celiac or gluten sensitivity. Nutrients are so critical for our bone health. So impaired digestion in Celiac (and estradiol, progesterone and testosterone) has a direct effect on bone health.

HRT of estradiol and progesterone, alone, in late life does not appear to improve depressive symptoms. Testosterone could be important for the antidepressant effects! Give it a try. Let’s see if your experiment works! Video on HRT for Women Over 60 Years

In my experience, weight gain in menopause is not due to overeating . During perimenopause and post menopause , I gained 50 pounds by eating less . The more I restricted my diet the more I gained , this was the same for my mother and aunts and we all became type 2 diabetics .

THIS is the video I've needed! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm 68, was never offered HRT, my symptoms are so very negatively affecting my life, but most of the information out there is talking to and about women at peri-menopause and early menopause...starting HRT early in menopause. But I've felt at a loss about starting it now. I feel very hopeful that I could benefit, in real time--not even caring about reversing anything, just wanting to ease symptoms in the hear and now. My doctor is worried about stoke if I take HRT, even though I have a zero CAC, take no other meds, and am otherwise health, low bp. I suspect she may be saying that to protect herself, understandably. But I feel more hopeful now and am going to pursue this. Thank you!

I then suffered for 9 years without anything. I tried everything but got no relief. I finally persuaded a doctor to let me try hrt again at 62. I was given estrogel and utrogestan.I'm now 64 and after a little playing around with dosage, i have never felt better in my life. ❤ thank you HRT

Unfortunately, HRT is not always the standard, although it should be. You listened to the doctor that took you off HRT. You weren't educated in HRT benefits. That's why this channel exists. Hopefully you don't let them take you off HRT again. That is life-shortening. That is the female mistake. If you are an obedient type, you will not get your HRT. If you obey, you lose your health. This is a revolution in thinking. We are in charge of our own health. We determine whether or not we thrive. No one owns your outcome except you. You have to live with a doctor's poor decisions if you don't educate yourself beyond. That is why there is coaching. Menopause is a complex transition and most doctors do not have the tools for you to thrive. They have not been trained. They have not been trained to personalize. They do not know about other brain treatments for brain fog. They think that lower doses are better. They don't understand our needs to personalize. We set up your personal plans in coaching. There are special needs for women that are many years from their last period. Coaching can help you to find providers and move toward solutions that strengthen your body and enhance the HRT. It's not a one doctor process. It's not one simple choice that makes us well and strong. Especially after our pandemic health-limiting experience. This is why coaching exists. I help you analyze options. I help you find a diet that enhances your HRT. I motivate you when you don't feel like tackling a lot of change. I help you find hope. I'm a partner in your wellness. I research any condition you may have. I help with Alzheimers, breast cancer, and infection protection. I am a neuroscience treatment expert. I've gone deep on treatment types combing alternative and conventional. We prevent illness and hospitalization. I help you navigate the for profit medical system. It's never just one thing. Why Use HRT at Any Age? One great argument for giving identical molecule HRT to ANY woman is by identifying the functions of estradiol, progesterone and testosterone in the female body. Hormone by Hormone BRAIN BENEFITS in Only 8 Weeks: E2 Enhances Cognition: Another great reason to use HRT is to stop the progression of memory loss and attention issues. This is the some info I’ve been searching for now for days! 65 yrs old, had my 4th baby at 43, gained so much weight in mid-section, then, shortly thereafter, went into menopause.. menopausal now for 18-19 years, no majorly hard symptoms aside from the weight gain. Now, suddenly feeling so old (not mentally - only physically), skin, joints and all that. Doing some on-line/clinic hormone testing right now to see where I am hormonally. I suspect the late pregnancy really messed up my hormones and I simply never recovered. Hormone replacement was never a suggestion. Hoping it’s not too late.

Hello @pkstiever I'm happy to hear you are focused on self care, including cooking. We need this now, more than ever! I'm including a bit from my Guide. email: jumpstartaip@gmail.com _______________________________ In menopause, we are missing nutrients. We don’t realize how many of our symptoms are based on nutrient issues. We assume that most symptoms are triggered by hormone loss. And yes, hormone loss plays a major role. However, each of us has unique genes for nutrient absorption. Each of us has a microbiome converting nutrients from food that is highly dependent on what we eat! When we feed our body and microbiome, we have a dramatically better chance at full body health. We have ⅕ the estradiol even with HRT, so we would need to eat approximately 5 times the poor nutrient foods to get nutrients we had before menopause. We can’t do that! We would be overweight in no time. Now we need more nutrients per bite and more nutrients per calorie.. Abandon “Diet Culture” and Diet Expectations You’ll notice that I never count calories. I don’t count fat grams. I count micronutrients, and I don’t count them often. I’m looking for the mood boost and health that comes from this nutrient-dense eating. I avoid inflammatory foods that hurt nutrient absorption. These are things that matter now. You’ll really feel the difference when you make enough changes here. Our immune systems are one of the first things to break when we are low on nutrients, so I lean heavily into the science behind The Autoimmune Protocol Diet which heals women with weak immune systems. We know that women’s immune systems are dramatically weakened after menopause. Infections increase after menopause. Autoimmunity increases after menopause. Cancer (that depends on your immune system) increases after menopause. A broken immune system causes so many problems. All of this is caused by hormone loss and nutrient loss. In menopause, we see a lot of immune issues, especially digestive problems, allergies and food reactivity. Hormones Are Too Low, Even With HRT Estradiol levels control the flow of nutrients into your body. Low estradiol means low nutrient absorption and diseases that follow that loss. Our body needs enough of 16 nutrients daily to manage normal immune function. We need over 50 nutrients for all aspects of health. With low estradiol, we are starving for nutrients! We also are more likely to have a poor response to inflammatory foods. There are no bad foods, just bad molecules that are typically reactive. Your weakened state without premenopausal hormones has created so many problems. I don’t demonize food. There is a list of inflammatory foods that just need to drop from the post menopause diet. Your body just can’t absorb nutrients when it is inflamed. We have to eat to support our intestines, which in turn support our body. Omnivore Diet Comparisons: I’ve already mentioned that vegan and vegetarian diets can be missing up to 21 of the 40 most critical nutrients. Many of these dieters are not using a nutritionist to plan food intake, and may be missing or low on even more nutrients. It’s critical to be an omnivore in menopause to avoid diseases of nutrient loss. A whole food omnivore diet will beat the standard low nutrient. inflammatory processed food diets of most Americans. It gives the food natural structure and is not grain heavy. Grains are fairly low nutrient foods when compared to animal proteins (3 times the minerals of grains) and grains are just a difficult inflammatory food. The Mediterranean Diet adds the emphasis on olive oil, vegetables, fish and seafood that provide very high nutrients. It leaves in some allergenic foods and some vegetables, nuts and seeds that can commonly stop nutrient absorption. Paleo is a subset of the Mediterranean. It takes out more of the allergenic foods and really gives you a punch of nutrients. Both Tom Brady and Novak Djokovic are Paleo proponents. They have used Paleo for the last 10 years of their careers. These are superstar athletes. Paleo is very similar to Paleo AIP aka AIP. I have had 10 years of Paleo and 8 of those years with the added nutrients of AIP. AIP is Special! AIP gives you 7-10 times the nutrients of processed foods. It takes out food chemistry that is disruptive. Let’s be clear, the plant chemistry serves the plant. It makes it tall and strong. It doesn’t necessarily interact well with the human body. Some plants and some plant parts are better for us than others. It’s just logical. AIP is several steps beyond Paleo, and considers the chemistry of foods within your body. Paleo or Paleo AIP will take out all the foods that affect nutrient absorption or interfere with hormones. It's a hormone balancing diet. Reproductive age women call it the fertility diet because it restores their cycle and ovulation. It has more nutrients per bite and maximizes absorption and minimizes weight gain.

HRT Benefits over Age 60 If you have been estrogen-deprived for many years, and start HRT, your body may respond differently to HRT. A Yale study of 400 women age 80-92 found HRT to be beneficial! (Kantarci, Mayo Clinic, 2017) Video of Kantarci (4 years of treatment, 3 years of follow-up) Oral CEE was ineffective in preserving DLPFC volume. No dose mentioned. Korean epidemiology reported that 4.2% of the elderly aged above 65 years has Alzheimer's. Thus, a very positive effect of MHT was reported (Yoon, 2003) The research currently reveals a “healthy cell bias”. Early HRT stops the brain from transforming, keeping your brain young. Some conventional doctors will limit your HRT use to 5 or 10 years. Video on HRT for Women Over 60 Years The Best Doctor The best doctor is the one that gets enough FDA-approved HRT products early enough to stop the damage of hormone loss. Your emotional health should be strong! Converting your ObGyn to HRT positive position is possible. This will save you money. I’m saving approximately $1500 per year by using a conventional ObGyn. I’m teaching her about HRT and nutrition. Come in for coaching to work out your plan.

Another excerpt on cancer from my guide... ------------------------ Your BMI will also increase breast cancer risk. You eat between 1-2 lbs of food everyday. That chemistry really affects your cancer risk. It’s not just one nutrient that is the key here. You need a bouquet of nutrients to avoid cancer. Get your HRT and organic nutrition early and you decrease your breast cancer risk. High fat dairy is directly linked to breast cancer. Omega 3’s in fish and seafood lower your breast cancer risk. Decreasing stress will lower breast cancer risk. Overeating and increasing leptin hormone levels will increase your breast cancer risk. A functional medicine provider will give you supplements like curcurmin, berberine, borage oil and EPO to lower breast cancer risk. Depending on your diet, these supplements are less necessary with HRT. A Brazilian study found a significant increase in progressive, dangerous breast cancer tumors in women with Vitamin D deficiency. That means getting sunshine, eating seafood and other high nutrients, testing Vitamin D to use the proper supplement dose. (De Sousa Almeida-Fiho, 2017) Certain chemicals, called xenoestrogens are more active in menopausal women. These attach to your estrogen receptors and are increasing your cancer risk! Eliminate your personal care products and foods with coal derived additives like tartrazine and sunset yellow. Eliminate your antiperspirant/deoderant and sunscreens with benzene. This will not be on the label because it is a product of the manufacturing process. You know from transdermal HRT that small molecules will move through the skin to your bloodstream. That means it travels your whole body. Every tissue is affected.

You might be interested to know that the SWAN study found that women age 40-65 were 2-4 times more likely to have depression. This makes diet and exercise impossible. Only 1.7% of women had a nutritious diet and daily exercise! That’s what it takes to be healthy! That’s what it takes for vitality. Most women don’t know how to build those habits, so coaching is critical. I am a coach that understands the HRT impact on diet and exercise. I can help you build new habits and optimize your HRT. Your diet choice must be worked out in relation to your condition. Women with thyroid or autoimmune need the Autoimmune Protocol. You can learn more about this in my nutrition playlist. You won’t be well without this diet! In coaching, we work out your feelings around food. We brainstorm and eliminate obstacles. We set weekly goals that move you towards vitality! This is your personal recovery plan. That’s a plan that is sustainable. kzbin.info/aero/PLvBeTibCRJMld3tRbnVbdQPDUmhrnnO2w

Can you please explain the part about cardiovascular disease, arterial plaque and estrogen? I have really high cholesterol and the "bad" big molecules whatever they are called...but I read that HRT with bio identicals can actually reduce bad cholesterol. I think it's the estrogen that helps with that but am not sure. Thank you!

HRT will help your liver enzymes (it's a liver detox agent too), will help your emotional stress and will help stop your osteoporosis. We have results from the HERS trial that HRT benefits women over 60. The benefits are greater when you start young at menopause. I'm sorry you didn't have this information or a friendly doctor. There are no perfect doctors out there. I have used all kinds of doctors and none of them were concerned with my mental health. They tend to eliminate hot flashes, but often forget that mood and pain are big symptoms for us. Preclinical trials say that higher doses of estradiol have better brain effects -- especially in dementia prevention. So, here are some options for you. Talk to your ObGyn: They may not have menopause training, but they may know you well. They may have experience with HRT products and dosing. They may actually be anti-HRT and deny you HRT. Use the resources in this directory to convince them of HRT benefits which are MANY! They do use FDA Approved products which are more consistent and superior to compounded. They can do an exam. They can help you discern your effects. Use transdermal estradiol, progesterone, and transdermal testosterone. Resources to share with your doctor My total spending with FDA-Approved Mylan generic estradiol patch .1 mg, 200 mg oral micronized progesterone, and generic androgel 1% testosterone is about $75 per month. That’s cash using a GoodRX app. When I hit my insurance deductible, my cost is $0/month. I visit once yearly with my ObGyn. My total spending is less than $500/year. Use a NAMS menopause certified provider at www.menopause.org These know HRT, but still may not give it early or late in your menopause. They are usually OBGYNs. Use a Functional Medicine Provider at www.ifm.com These often use inferior compounded products. They might do expensive unnecessary testing. Your symptoms are all that matters. Food sensitivity testing is unreliable and your results change with hormone levels and your diet. Use Planned Parenthood: they may have subsidized visits and products for you based on your family income. They will give you an estimate of costs once you visit. This is not on their website, but they do offer HRT “gender affirming care”. Use www.evernow.com: They are online. There is no testosterone. They are expensive compared to using GoodRX for prescriptions. Currently $139.00 per month US. Screening the practice: “Would you say this practice supports menopause with FDA -Approved HRT?” “Will you prescribe FDA Approved transdermal Estradiol for hormone replacement?” “Will you increase HRT dosing to minimize my hormone-related symptoms?” “Will you begin Estradiol treatment before formal menopause: 12 months after last period?” “Will you also prescribe FDA Approved Testosterone for hormone deficiency? “ “Will you Test my hormones annually to ensure my serum levels are within target ranges?” Estradiol: 80-100 pg/ml, find optimal emotional health Progesterone: sufficient to balance Estradiol and avoid mood symptoms Testosterone: 15-70 ng/ml, find optimal emotional health and energy “Will you take my insurance?” “What additional costs are related to your treatments?” “What additional services are required by the practice?” Get References: Check Reviews: Google, Healthgrades.com, ratemds.com Check in an Facebook “Autoimmune Group” for your City or State Check in a Facebook Group for Holistic Health Check with your trusted OBGYN, if you have one Check with a psychiatrist for ObGyn reference

Hello @Luis Javier Cobos Zumaya How exciting for you! This is so interesting. In my research, I have seen references to testosterone:estradiol RATIO. How these are balanced in the body is important! However, testing this is not common. I have never seen, in hundreds of research papers, anyone taking a stand on what is optimal testosterone:estradiol ratio. So, it's a blind spot in the research. I went on HRT (Premarin) in my early 40s after a total hysterectomy and loved it (I am now 70). In 2016 I was diagnosed with ER positive breast cancer but it was a type of cancer called mucinous carcinoma which rarely metastasizes so I didn't need chemo or radiation post-lumpectomy. Seven years later I'm clean. However I had to go off HRT immediately and, just as immediately, went into full-on menopause. It was not pretty. After a few years I developed osteoporosis, bursitis in my hips, insomnia, it was awful, and still having hot flashes. My question is, can I ever start back on HRT or because of the breast cancer issue is it still not safe? I had to wait 5 years before my doctor would even give me Vagifem to help ease vaginal dryness, atrophy and painful sex.

You've had a long road to recovery. And you are wanting more from life. This makes sense. I do have research I share with clients. This is not a coaching relationship where I have all of your background and experiences. I coach HRT, nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, toxin and pharma reduction. Your life matters! Kitty, I have had a bit of a difficult time trying HRT at a later stage and would really appreciate your advice. I started HRT for the first time at 63 mostly to try and alleviate joint stiffness, brain fog, and a bit of anxiety. I asked my doctor and she gave me Evorel Conti patches delivering 50 micro grams of HRT. Completely helped initially but then I started to have horrible anxiety and panic attacks. Have have to gradually come off these patches and have all the old symptoms back! Was I too late or was the dose too high ?

I am 50. I went through menopause early at age 45. Other than hot flashes for the first 6-8 months, I noticed no negative symptoms. But a year ago things changed. I went to my traditional obgyn MD a few days ago. He was completely fine with prescribing what I wanted. I have now been on the estradiol patch and progesterone for 2 days. We shall see what happens! I hope I see improvement. I have had terrible sleep since my twenties, and I did sleep well the last 2 nights. I don't know if it's because of the progesterone or not.

@createamenopauserecovery

Over the counter stuff does little. There is no equivalent to estradiol. None. You can try planned parenthood and they will keep your costs low based on income. GoodRX is about $35/month for .1 mg patch. Progest is sold on Amazon. It helps a bit. My 200 mg oral micronized progesterone was $8/month paying cash with the GoodRX app. Testosterone is only $20/month if you use generic Androgel 1.62% man's pump with goodrx app. It's so worth it! This keeps us ALIVE and strong. Anticancer -- cancer can cost you $100,000 out of pocket and the hospital can take your house. It is not wise to live without HRT. Not cost effective. I have insurance and I don't use it. My insurance is more expensive than cash. I shop for a pharmacy on the goodrx app, then tell the doctor where to send it.

@@createamenopauserecovery HI. I left a comment above too...Can you please explain the relationship between using estrogen transdermally (not oral) and how it affects the arteries if there is plaque? I have very high cholesterol that is hereditary. A test showed that I have the big particles that are considered the bad ones...I think I read though that estrogen actually reduces bad cholesterol levels. I am confused. Also, some people seem more in favor of pellets because they say that there is less fluctuation of hormone levels with them. What do you think? I personally don't like the idea of them.

Generally, transdermal estradiol has a positive effect on all lipid markers. It's the potent hormone you once made when arteries were young and flexible. You can still have errors of metabolism. That's true. There are over 1000 common errors of metabolism. You are an individual. --- In general, I tend to look at triglycerides for health. This is more predictable. Diet will have an amazing impact on menopausal health. I have some clients that ONLY DO DIET without HRT and get amazing results! Love that for them. @createamenopauserecovery
@createamenopauserecovery 2 жыл бұрын
Hello @Elizabeth Preciado. You care about your health! You want to get your HRT right. We can work out a personal plan in coaching. It is NEVER too late to get HRT. Researchers are using transdermal estradiol to stop the progression of Alzheimer's in 80 year olds. I'll put some more research below from my ebook. email jumpstartaip@gmail.com for personal care. Your life depends on this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “It’s never too late to start HRT.” Dr.

Hello. I’ve been on a 1mg oral estradiol for about two years. Was on a patch previously but had problems with it not sticking. It as a generic patch. I’m 64 and have been on hrt since age of 46. Went off a few times for a holiday. I am very healthy, exercise, have good nutrition and sleep very well. The hrt (along with nutrition and exercise) has helped my bone health immensely. My question is should I continue on the oral or go back to a patch. I currently don’t have traditional insurance so have to pay out of pocket for prescriptions. The hrt is the only prescription that I take. I go on Medicare next year. I’m considering the patch again but need the one that works best. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you so much for the very informative videos.

Why Use HRT at Any Age? One great argument for giving identical molecule HRT to ANY woman is by identifying the functions of estradiol, progesterone and testosterone in the female body. Republican states with abortion limitation have driven away the obgyns. They lose doctors. Women lose healthcare when limitations are put on reproductive planning options. Huge costs for. women. A lot of white men are making decisions to limit our care. That affects every woman. That indirectly affects nearly every family. It is our fate. I don't see this changing because of our conservative Supreme Court. We cover ways to get the Best HRT in coaching. We might even use 2-3 doctors at once to get care quickly. It's a process. There are many types of doctors. Each one makes an independent decision on your HRT. Very few will walk you through needed diet changes. Diet makes your HRT more effective. Nutrients help activate HRT in your brain. Some of my guidance is anti aging. I am here to help women recover and thrive. It takes more than HRT. email jumpstartaip@gmail.com

Here are some ideas @cornelia montemayor. Sleeping drugs do cause dementia. Please stop those. ----/// There are no perfect doctors out there.

You can choose custom education and personalization in coaching. We spend 8-10 hours together for 3 months sorting out your products, health goals, troubleshooting, and teaching your how to find and work with a doctor. KZbin comments are generalized. Women need personal care. Not many choose it. They are stuck. That is fine. That's all I can do for you in a comment. All of my KZbin work is free to you. I have no income. I am a real coach with real value. Most women will not turn their health around. 36% have diabetes after 65. 50% have dementia by age 80. That is the path they take. They don't want additional information. It's too complicated. It's easy to just watch another video. That won't make us well. Informed Action Plans make us well and strong. Menopause is a health crash that should serve as a wake-up call. Our doctors are not helping us prevent disease. We do that on our own. In wellness, Kitty

Collagen: enhances collagen and nerve cell health (myelination) through the body. Brain: protects the serotonergic neurons (serotonin=happiness). Use with estradiol and testosterone to optimize this. Brain: increases density of B-endorphin neuron axons (signal sending) in LC (site of emotional activation) that reduces anxiety and increases resilience. Brain: improves levels of BDNF (as does Paleo diet and exercise) to improve nerve cell growth and regeneration = plasticity Brain: Activates every brain cell type. Emerging data indicate that progesterone has multiple non-reproductive functions in the central nervous system to regulate cognition, mood, inflammation, mitochondrial function (energy center of all cells), neurogenesis and regeneration, myelination and recovery from traumatic brain injury. (Brinton, 2008) Progesterone produces multiple effects in the brain through three principle mechanisms: regulation of gene expression, modulation of neurotransmitter systems, and activation of signaling cascades. In addition to its direct effects on neurons, P4 may exert indirect neuroprotective effects by acting on non-neuronal target cell populations. For example, P4 reduces blood-brain barrier leakage, decreases brain immune system-glial activation], and increases myelination. (Brinton, 2008) Whole Body: Progesterone regulates estrogen ACTION! (Brinton, 2008) Skin: Enhances skin health. Blood Pressure: Blood pressure regulation. Estradiol: Progesterone activates the estrogen receptors, but also dampens some of estradiol’s wonderful effects. Cyclic progesterone, a few days per month, may become the HRT solution..

I am 63...started experiencing a very low mood,dryness and then absolutely no libido. Contacted G.p. Started on transdermal estrogen and micronized oral progesterone . All was wonderful for one and a half months. Then it was not....started to feel fuzzy headed , dizzy and brain fog.,Winded on inclines.Tried adjusting doses and applying progesterone vaginal. Things only got worse....woke in the night in a panic attack....heart beating profoundly ,head felt like a tight band was around it and my brain was surrounded by a fuzzy feeling....I was tired and wired ....this happened for two nights and I had 3 nights of zero sleep. Was scared out of my mind ...blamed the hormones and went off of them . Went to my Dr. (Appointmenst take for ever to get into here in Canada.) Short of it is She ordered tests. Cat scan came back normal. Ecg did not. Further testing is scheduled and won't be complete untill Feb 2023 ! I have a harness fitting end of Nov 2022. I am hopeful I can return to HRT after harness results. I don't sleep well and my post menopause symptoms are all back. I am hoping the harness test will tell enough that I can resume hrt and feel better. My plan befor this was to ask for testosterone to be added. Now I wait and try anything and everything to just sleep! I was happy to see a person with heart problems should be able to go on h.r.t with proper guidance. Thank you 💖. Hrt can be alot of $$$ here as well. Also I feel great full to have a husband who supports me. Don't know how he does it... some times i wish I could run away from myself .lol.

This is not a coaching session. In coaching, we personalize your plan. Here's a backgrounder on things that affect HRT. -------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- There are so many factors all changing over time. Here is a list of factors that affect you. Your HRT response depends on: ingredients, dose level, application skill, continuous use, use of chemicals, your genetics, the specific brand, storage of the product, age of product, your diet, your exercise level, your stress level, family history, your other medications (eg. CYP3A4 inhibitor increase E1) that might boost or reduce hormones, start date of HRT relative to menopause, your BMI (increases E level), your use of herbal medicines that might increase or decrease effectiveness, high use of alcohol (increases E level), smoking (decreases E level) and your use of supplements that might increase or decrease effectiveness. Liver disease determines how you process and excrete hormones. You might be a fast metabolizer. You might be a slow metabolizer, causing some hormone buildup. Use of testosterone with estradiol and progesterone will create different, enhanced effects! Use of an estradiol patch near heat will dump more estradiol into the bloodstream than is represented on the label. Use of a patch after the expected removal date gives less estradiol than expected. The thickness of your skin determines how the product is absorbed. Your skin thickness will vary over time as you age and hormone levels change. Your BMI might impact absorption. Your progesterone dose may have anti-testosterone effects. If you increase progesterone, test out an increase in testosterone too. Your diet (acidic or basic) will have effects on your excretion of any drug. Gels and creams have different absorption rates, even for the same quantity of product. Your genetics: We know that the genes for our hormone receptors are different between women. They might even be different between races. So you add HRT, but your genetics inhibits effectiveness. We can’t tell you this in advance. You have to feel your way through the experiment. Nutrition: you still have to build receptors and process the HRT. A high nutrient diet like AIP will change receptors and processing. Optimize this to optimize HRT. Your age: younger women seem to need more of the HRT. It’s possible that your liver clears the HRT quickly because it functions better. Your brain tissue: Some women have brain tissue that is just more sensitive to hormone changes and hormone loss. We have different genetics and different health histories. Never assume that you can’t feel better with nutrition though. Genetics aren’t your fate. Don’t let any bad news on HRT affect your choices. Example: One study found a small increased risk of asthma exacerbation in HRT users with previous asthma. But, the researchers noted that having a pre existing condition like obesity or high blood pressure was a much bigger factor! You can imagine how air quality affects asthma. So where you live will impact this result. But researchers couldn’t compare women based on air quality. Generally HRT users see overall improvement in endothelial cells which line many parts of the body including the lungs, blood vessels, intestines and vagina. They also did not compare HRT transdermal users to oral users. We usually see lots of problems in the users of oral HRT. It’s cheaper, but it often overloads or under-loads your system. So you might know a woman whose asthma got worse after HRT, but you don’t know anything about the product she used, the air quality, lung damage before menopause or pre existing conditions. We do know that HRT does not affect women who do not have asthma premenopausal. That’s why it’s so hard to compare. Keep in mind that none of the research uses testosterone with transdermal estradiol and micronized progesterone. None. You will be hitting all cylinders if you get all 3. This combination has been used for 30+ years, but pharma controls the research investment. To get all 3 products, print off this set of documents and hand them to your doctor. They speak the language of research. Current research on The Best HRT This is NOT a complete list. Everything affects everything. You can imagine all elements changing over time. Your experience is your own. You have to trust your body on this. You want to feel the same way you did in reproductive years. Come in for coaching if you want to problem-solve your situation.

@createamenopauserecovery

I actually have best results from a generic brand called Mylan. I have poor results with Climera and Vivelle. If the patch bubbles up then it’s not working well. The adhesive on Mylan works best with my skin type. Skin types vary and your skin will actually change a lot over menopause. Some women have too much hair interfering with patches and they switch to gel. Patches are generally better at continuous blood levels of estradiol. There is no sinking feeling when estrogen drops. 😀👍🏻

Hi Kitty, So you like the Mylan patch best for its adhesiveness not necessarily for its efficacy? Sometimes I worry that generics aren't as good/strong as brand name but I surely can't afford the brand name anyway - no more than my insurance pays. I just wondered if you found a difference between generic and brand and the specific reasons why you like the Mylan. Thanks again for your information. I have been binge watching every single video!

@@virginiae2047 Yes. I have heard from Doctors that Climera doesn’t work well. The others are pretty comparable for efficacy. I never stay on a patch that doesn’t stick as that would leave my blood levels at zero. I added a gel to the .1 mg patch to experiment with mood benefits. I had a mental health diagnosis that is helped by hormones so my doctor agreed too go higher. We did bump up the progesterone to 200 mg nightly which brought blood levels to 6 ng/dl. That’s way over the 3 ng/dl we need to keep the endometrium thin. Then I needed to bump up my testosterone dose to feel that great energy again. It all works together. No signs of overload with my high fiber high nutrient and anti inflammatory diet. That is also key to mental health. Can’t have low quality foods in menopause. I do nutrition therapy coaching with HRT because these interact’.

Virginia E, I’m going to chime in here, respectfully. I’m a hospital pharmacist, 60 yo with a special interest in this topic ( guess why, lol) and I’ve been digging into the medical lit and researching HRT, in general. I vote NO for the brand name Premarin , specifically. Why? Inhumane treatment of horses (google, you’ll be horrified) and more and more farms are now based in China, so only God knows what goes on there! (Also explains why it’s rather difficult to obtain and extremely expen$ive!!!) . Trust me, I’m not a tree hugging person, however I even lectured my own gynecologist about this, lol. Do not worry about the generics in this case, they’re fine! Some claims about less efficacy can be overcome with a slightly higher dose or different product. Trial and error likely necessary. The data is incomplete and the topic is in flux ( many reasons) so the key is to find a knowledgable provider, preferably one who belongs to NAMS, and discuss your specific needs and health history. It all boils down to risk vs. benefit, like everything else in life and that equation is unique to each of us! Also,I highly recommend you reevaluate every few years, because life and our health is dynamic, so don’t put the topic on the back burner forever. I have lots more I could write about this but it would take me an hour, ha ha! Best of luck !

Is it normal to have spotting after/during HRT?
@createamenopauserecovery
@createamenopauserecovery 2 жыл бұрын
Hello @Samina Lettenberger. Yes. It is very common to have initial spotting or even a bleed. This is an adjustment. Here is an excerpt from Your Initial HRT Appointment Guide. In wellness, Kitty Anderson. NBCHWC -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Standard of Care for Adverse Events: Some of your initial HRT reactions are just the uterus adjusting to HRT. It’s not always pathology or illness. Possible adverse effects of hormone therapy are usually linked with the dose of the administered hormones and/or the type of the administered progestogen and might include bloating, fluid retention, breast tenderness, mood swings, headaches. These adverse effects are usually regulated by either reducing the dose of estrogen or using a progestogen of a different type. However, the brain effects are optimal for progesterone, not the synthetic progestogens. For women experiencing adverse effects related to the progestogen, the use of bazedoxifene might be an option. Once again, the brain effects are not optimal. Other side effects are likely. Alternatively, a different route of administration (i.e., transdermal rather than oral) might resolve the adverse effects. Transdermal avoids the impacts of the liver on the entire HRT experience. All hormone therapy regimens may result in unscheduled bleeding during the first months of therapy. For women experiencing breakthrough bleeding beyond 6 months of therapy, gynecological assessment is necessary. (Armeni, 2021) I personally would dose up the estradiol (unless there is breast engorgement and pain) and use the progesterone over any progestin. Using the progesterone vaginally and continuously can often have superior results. I would also consider a low histamine, high nutrient diet like the Autoimmune Protocol or Paleo to maximize the benefits of estradiol! Nutrients interact with our HRT. Both are communication molecules. I would be very cautious about lowering the estradiol below a .075 mg patch. I want the 80+ benefits of estradiol and I want all the benefits of nutrients. However, you could be having an estradiol buildup based on your liver health, alcohol use, and intestinal microbiome. Adding testosterone doesn’t usually affect bleeding, but will give optimal mood, pain, immune, and energy outcomes. Transdermal Testosterone: There isn’t much research on testosterone for women, but we have prescribed it for decades. This is your hormone! You want to restore your levels. You will feel sassy and strong! You will feel your sex drive return! You will tease your family, again! Your wit will return. You will absolutely come alive! You deserve this!

Planned Parenthood can help anyone on a budget! They are a wonderful organization. They support "gender affirming care". That is HRT. This is not optional for health after ovulation stops. Yes. They should ship it to our door for free when we miss a period. No, it's not fair. I don't know what it will take to move them to coaching. Most just watch videos without coming for help. It's that approach. We have to move women from "observing" to "acting".

My gynecologist I Just started seeing will not give me HRT patches. She said they cause blood clots and that no dr will give me the patch. She would only give me the pellets. Is their any truth to this or is she only trying to make money? I can't afford to stay on the pellets. I am 62.

Here is an excerpt from my ebook -------------------- Is There A Perfect Blood Level of Estradiol? We know from preclinical trials on estradiol products that higher dosing means better brain health. We don't know exactly how the estradiol is working in the body at different dose levels. You are an individual with genetics for your hormone receptors, genetics for liver and local metabolism of hormones, genetics for absorbing each of 50 nutrients, genetics for skin that affects absorption. Your body is in a particular state or condition. You may have damaged tissue from toxins or a time without hormones. Your diet will determine how food is absorbed. Nutrients have trouble getting inside without a higher dose of estradiol. Nutrients are communication molecules that work with the HRT! They are helpers! Adding a toxin like alcohol will cause a buildup of HRT. Smoking will diminish the effect of HRT. Your body is all one system! You work with your doctor (or a coach) to sort out your health challenges. You work with your doctor to find an optimal dose. We can get an estimate of tissue levels based on how you feel. Your dose will move through your skin at a rate dependent on your skin thickness. There is a wide variation here and this changes depending on where you put the patch/gel and as you age. Then the estradiol moves to the tissues and does work. It is recycled back into the bloodstream to some extent based on your microbiome in the intestines. So, your diet has some impact on how the estradiol builds up in the body. It gets converted to other forms of estrogen based on your liver and genetics. A healthy liver will break down the estradiol better than an unhealthy, underperforming liver. Right? This could change over time. This will change with your diet. A history of smoking affects your liver breakdown of estradiol. You might have genetics to be a fast metabolizer, breaking down the estradiol quickly. You might have the genetics to be a slow metabolizer, so you might get a buildup from higher doses. You might be taking a drug that causes slow or fast metabolism of the estradiol. Your doctor can check this for you. Your diet affects the way estradiol feels in the brain. Animal form Vitamin A activates all sex hormones in the brain. Magnesium works with your estradiol to protect brain cells. Magnesium is recommended to minimize migraines as well. The older we are, the less likely we can get the magnesium from our diet -- absorption diminishes. Magnesium is easily supplemented. You also need nutrients from a balanced diet of animal and plant sources to maintain your health. Here is an excerpt on Magnesium from “Food Over Supplements”. Our world has become very complex. Magnesium is one of the few supplements I recommend. The rest of nutrition comes from a nutrient-dense antiinflammatory diet like AIP. Magnesium might be a key element: our soil is deficient so veggies are low in it now. Mg is low in aging and under stress or if blood sugar is volatile. Magnesium supplements can be helpful for people with high stress, definitely magnesium glycinate or magnesium malate are best absorbed. “The Importance of Magnesium (Mg) in Clinical Healthcare” (2017) made some very good points. They found that biochemical deficiencies are sometimes overlooked in clinical practice. Magnesium is a cofactor in over 300 enzyme systems and is required for energy production and nucleic acid synthesis. It is estimated that 3,571 proteins potentially bind to Mg+2. An estimated 52-68% of Americans do not obtain enough magnesium in their diet. Cooking and boiling of produce decreases Mg content. Mg absorption is reduced with Vitamin D deficiency. Medications often diminish absorption of Mg. Pesticides chelate minerals and decrease the content of Mg in soil and some crops. There is an excess excretion of Mg with alcohol use and the presence of diabetes. Monoculture and incomplete fertilization is depleting soil Mg levels. Mg absorption is reduced with aging by as much as 30%. Level I evidence supports the use of magnesium in the prevention and treatment of many common health conditions including migraine headache, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, asthma, premenstrual syndrome, preeclampsia, and various cardiac arrhythmias. Magnesium is an adjunct treatment for depression, ADD, prevention of renal calculi, prevention of cataracts, smoking cessation and other conditions. (1) Full Study Here … Your progesterone will make your estradiol receptors sensitive to estradiol. The amount of progesterone you have circulating will then affect how your body uses the estradiol. Your progesterone will interfere sometimes with testosterone and serotonin, so you want to balance out the progesterone with testosterone. You have specific genetics for hormone receptors, and that affects how you feel on different blood levels of estradiol. There are so many factors. Keep in mind that the minimum blood level of estradiol for reproductive age is 80 pg/ml. The healthy maximum for blood level of estradiol is 500 pg/ml (at ovulation). The average for reproductive age is quoted at between 150-250 pg/ml. One representative of the International Menopause Society said that women left to dose themselves with unlimited estradiol gel averaged blood levels of over 1000 pg/ml. This rep was very concerned about that, but didn't say why. (We need more information from clinicians.) Many of the researchers talk about needing a "healthy cell bias". A healthy diet, movement, stress management, reduced toxins (including other Pharma) will play into how estradiol works in the body. Nutrients matter. This is why I have a nutrition playlist to introduce a nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory diet. We want all the 80 benefits of estradiol -- leaving nothing on the table. There are also no perfect diets or dieters. Some of us have genetics that make absorption difficult. We have conditions that make absorption difficult. Some have missing gallbladders. Some have autoimmune attacks on digestion. We will never know exactly how much gets into our body. Nutrients are communication molecules, just like hormones. Variety and sufficiency are both important. It's complex. We go by how we feel. We can trust how we feel. That's why every woman is an expert on herself. Listen to your body. It will tell you if your estradiol is building up. It will tell you what you need to know. We feel resilient when our estradiol levels are sufficient! It's our natural state. We feel calm with enough active progesterone. We feel sassy, with healthy libido, with our testosterone active and supportive. You are the queen of this project! If you are not feeling your best, you experiment with everything that could make a difference. When you feel more normal, you are on track! This approach puts the woman in charge. That might make doctors anxious. They sometimes "treat the test" not the patient. They can't guide us on other aspects of health.

“It’s never too late to start HRT.” Dr. (IFM interpretation) HERS Study Summary The Cache County Study saw benefits for older women (> 5 years since menopause) using HRT on Alzheimer’s reduction and brain health! I coach HRT Plus. This is where coaching helps you to create new habits and try non-toxic solutions to strengthen the immune system. An experiment with Paleo or AIP diets really can help here! HRT of estradiol and progesterone, alone, in late life does not appear to improve depressive symptoms. Testosterone could be important for the antidepressant effects! Give it a try. Let’s see if your experiment works! See my other videos for women over 60

These studies use high dose estradiol only. 2 mg of .1% estradiol HRT for 1 year in the Yoon study (2003) showed increased daily activity and no expected degradation of memory scores in Alzheimer’s patients over age 65. A 2001 study published in Neurology found a .1 mg estradiol patch improved attention and memory in Alzheimer’s patients over 80 years old in 8 weeks! (Asthana, 2001) The KEEPS study found no change in cognition for the .05 mg estradiol patch in older women. E2 Prevents Amyloid Beta. E2 enhances cognition. In post-menopausal women aged 56-84 years given a .1 mg estradiol patch for 8 weeks, cognition improved significantly. However, cognitive response to estradiol HRT is modified by cortisol level.
