Thank you for another update - much appreciated, since we won't be in the area before September. Thanks for your dedication on this, Oh what a surprise - the greenery is re-asserting itself after the construction has moved on! So much for the "Ruinous blot on the landscape" from the naysayers.

The naysayers will be along shortly, you can be sure of that. Meanwhile the rest of us admire and appreciate this country moving forward. Once construction is complete, this will blend in nicely with the surrounding landscape much like HS1.

@@thorley1969.. "this country moving forward"? The Golborne link - scrapped. The Eastern leg - scrapped. The Northern leg - scrapped. The disaster that is Euston station - "on hold" for 2 years & will only continue if private investment can be found. What's left of this monstrous vanity project is nothing more than a shuttle service between west London & Birmingham that will cater for the elite & within a decade of opening (in about 50 years time given the current rate of progress), will be nothing more than a glorified cycle path. * Awaits the inevitable "the naysayers have arrived" comment 😉

You have to realise there's a lot of people who always have an opinion about a construction project when they don't know anything about what they are talking about.

@@TrevorWilliams-fq8mg .. are you including HS2 Ltd in that statement? The blatant corruption within HS2 Ltd that's recently been exposed reveals that they've been fooling the public & the government from day one. Senior executives shredded documents & used misleading projections & "stats" to ensure that billions of pounds kept flowing into the project. Whistleblowers claim they were told by bosses to lie about the project's cost & were sacked after speaking out. They say the government wasn't informed of the real cost of HS2 for years, all while voting on laws that approved its construction.
