HSD Artic camo F-16, 6th flight, smooth landing. 12s EDF

Starting to feel like i'm getting this dialled in now.
One of my best flights on this bird.
Happy with the flights today. No gyro, no elevator to throttle mix. landing gear to elevator mix set. Still could have done with another meter on the runway lol!!!

Nice flight and great landing! I've owned two of these birds and she's a great model but I had the older versions with the slower fans...The new version has a much improved power system so I am thinking of grabbing a new one. I've had some great flights and some really bad landings, lol...I always celebrate a great landing like a birth! Once dialed in she's a jewel.

@@DarrenRC76 Sort of...I learned of some AMA fields with all the room I desire but they are a good 2 hour drive...However with the new version/power setup I think I will have far more confidence flying it in the usual place. My biggest fear was always that I felt I had to have her almost pegged just to fly steady. Needed a better thrust to weight ratio which I hear this new version finally offers.

Great flight!! Love this plane and thinking about trying to get one, I fly several Freewing jets. Are you pleased with quality in comparison and are parts such as landing gear ect. readily available, Thanks so much.

Thanks! I think the quality is as good if not better. The landing gear is pretty tough and very scale. Now that HSDgo has stock of parts things have improved no end. I've got two of these as I liked the first one so much. There's quite an active chat on RCGs with loads of good information.

Alocci Maurizio. Thank you. 160-165. Gear down. I have a little elevator down when the gear is down (open) the CG moves a lot when the gear moves so a little elevator mix keeps everything good. All stock.

Very nice flight, and the landing! greased it. What do you have your timer set to? and what is the flying weight, (roughly). I'd love the F-16.

Thanks. Since this video i've smoothed the entire intake and now get around 4 minutes plus taxi out and back. I use telemetry system on the Jeti which tells me MAH used, I set a warning on approx. 3800mah and then set up to land. That will give me an emergency go around if needed on a 5300mah battery. I'd guess the weight to be about 6.5kgs

There are two 6s 5300 mah batteries from optipower approximately 850g each plus a 2s 3500 mah battery. Not sure of the weight of that one. HTH

Rick Fisher. When the gear moves it causes a big change to the CoG. When the gear is down I have a mix to add down elevator automatically.
