I am so glad that I found this video. I didn't know how to use the metal rib on surface but your step by step instruction helps me very much. You are the master and great teacher! Thank you for sharing your technique with other people. I wish I could attend your class but I am too far away from you..

a trick : you can watch movies on Kaldrostream. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies lately.

Mr. Lin, I am a beginner in ceramic class, 3 month into wheel throwing. Ever since I found this video, I 'be been practicing to learn how to use metal rib on surface and finally (after ruining several thrown mugs) I think I can use it to smoothen up the surface. But I still cannot make the decorative lines as you did on your mug. You made two lines in parallel: one from bottom and the other from the top, and it looks very solid and clear. Although I tried to mimick your method, by using the corner of the metal rib, I just cannot make clear solid lines. Always ended up with shallow, faint lines. I watched your video over and over again but I am still stuck with the same dilemma. I am using stone ware clay. Please advise me. Thank you.
