Thanks for the tips ! Do you also try to take notes/translate as you go in both listening and reading part of the exam ? I am wondering If I should do that for my upcoming HSK4 exams ! Do you do it and if yes do you feel it’s useful ?

Great Video, Thank you. I passed my HSK-4 in 2018, but as a researcher I donated myself to the PhD and finished it in 4 years with multiple publication. Now the think which stop my degree is called HSK-5, I have one month and need to pass, I also need to make sure that I have enough vocabulary, but somehow I losted, please guide me I will be very thankful.

Be aware that if you take the test on a computer you won't be allowed to write any notes, at least if you're doing the "at home" test. Also, the software limits how far ahead you can see the answer options - usually within the current section and you can't skip forward or back between sections.

Ah, interesting, I never took a computer-based HSK, turns out there are some cons to that too

I took the test in march 2021, and there was a place for notes!

They don’t allow turning back through sections with paper either at least in my experiences.

excellent tips , very valuable, i have my HSK 5 next week :).......how much time or study hours do you think is needed to progress from HSK 5 to HSK 6 ?

That depends, I'd say some 3 months of everyday practice, writing is the part that changes most from 5 to 6, at least for me, so I'd focus on that and do regular mock tests to boost other skills
