I see where you coming from and i can agree that many character designs are less ornate…In their other game PGR designs are much much better…i reckon designs would probably evolve overtime with future new characters and skins… I didnt get on the beta test but my honest take as an outside observer would be… 1) their ults doesn’t look epic enough? Im not sure epic is the right word but i always thought ultimate moves should have something extra on their animations to make it grander? As it is , apart from Ji Yan and few others, i cant tell apart between their skill and ult if not for the close up animations 😂 2) how good the Localisation team will determine my immersion in the game story…cause im also same type of rpg gamer like you who loves lore, in game political dynamics and theorise possibilities…this could only happen if their localisation team hits the mark tho… 3) Also how good are the events and updates will be going forward…i hope they’d give something for everyone…both casual and hardcore…will it be equal or better than PGR’s events/updates?

I do love the aesthetic of the game, but the animations seem a little underwhelming at times. however, if the flow of combat feels nice, I can look past that. & my biggest fear is that story could be lackluster. if it's bad, that could cause disinterest in the game for me. regardless, really excited to play it on release and make my judgements then!

It's easy to understand his point because the design style of Mihoyo and Kuro is way too different. Kuro is black and cold then Mihoyo is white and warm. I love Kuro's style because they're so mature and I need something like this

agreed on the breakdown. as an older gamer, I appreciate the more mature look that WuWa is providing. but although I enjoy the overall aesthetic of the game, I'd be lying if I said the overall animations blew me away. still stoked to play tho! see ya on launch 💪

@@nixirlgames I actually prefer these animations mostly because it's very important that the animations don't drown out enemy attacks and mechanics. For context endgame bosses have mechanics that will one shot even tank characters if you don't dodge/parry. It can be difficult for me to see what is happening in PGR because the effects are bright and the tells could be better. I think Kuro is basically fixing past mistakes. As much as having flashy crazy animations sound cool it's really not. It's all fun and games until Tempest Mephis one shots your main DPS. Seriously if your curious I would look up Steparu's difficulty 6 boss clears from the beta. He is very good at the game and is one of two people to clear every boss at max difficulty I believe

Missing all the intro and outro abilities for the characters. WuWa looks amazing when you are fighting with 3 units.

Samir normal atk are actually based from Punishing Gray Raven (Kuro other Game) character called Lee and not the opposite, so it's still based on themselves

WW character does not relies on special effects because it's more on a fast pace combat, if you want to see cool special effects go watch their other game PGR

I normally like your content but you are being biased against Wuthering Waves because it's not genshin or HSR-type animations/gameplay mechanics. I've been playing genshin and HSR even HI3 plus part 2 and to see Wuthering Waves be on a whole different category makes me happy for them. I hope they succeed because honestly im getting real sick of the hoyo fanbase bashing kuro games

I feel pretty confident in saying that I wasn't bashing WuWa by any stretch. and if you consumed my content on Twitch, I've actively been promoting and hyping the game. but the fact of the matter is that I simply don't find these animations as appealing as some of the others from competitors. if I liked them better than any of HoYo's offerings, people would be in the commenting saying the same thing on the opposite side.. can't please everyone. at the end of the day, animations are such a small subset of the game at large. and no animation will encourage or detour me from enjoying the game if the story and combat overall is fun. looking forward to launch, see ya there!

I’m sure plenty of people said this already but Kuro is absolutely amazing at choreographing the combat. It makes the fights dynamic and actually requires skill. Being overloaded with complex animations will make it difficult to see combat mechanics. I recommend watching PGR boss fights, especially perfect parry ones as an example. PGR honestly has the best combat out of all mobile games I have ever played. The parry sfx is so satisfying.
