I’d previously always listened to Personal Trainers at the gym, but they never took my ‘65 years old’ into consideration really. They showed me great exercises and I’m really grateful but you Will, really understand us older folk and give us exercises that make so much more sense. Thank you so much for everything you do. I think you are a GENIUS in your field. 👏👏👏🥇🏆

@debbiec6216 🌻 I've been a hip surgery candidate for over 15yrs, managing well with regular maintenance. I tend to pronate with a fairly balanced gait, not so much side to side, and right now my focus is stretching/strengthening my butt and foot muscles now as I'm wearing down the top of my thigh bones with my movements. I hope you find relief soon. Will be trying barefoot shoes as well, leaning towards the peluva brand

Having done my share of square bashing, for many years I've walked with a stride without any obvious issues. I recently went on a course with a leading navigation expert who recommend using much shorter steps as it prevents overreaching the walking muscles and you're keeping your stride within the area of the body mass, thus less strain on the joints & tendons. It appears to make sense and I've now got into the habit of taking shorter steps whenever I walk. Your thoughts - ?

Great exercise. I will definetely try it. I found a useful free phone app (SIT) I use for physio. Just in case anyone else struggle with counting those seconds, sets and rest periods. Because I certainly tend to "speed up" counting, especially if I am bored which always happens when I do physio. :-) Pretty much set how many seconds to keep the tension, how many seconds to rest and the number of sets and it will play a beep sound to indicate when to switch between rest/tension, and also will count reps. Not needed for this hip stretching because it has to be done only once, but for physio with repetitions, it helped me a lot. I will be using it for this exercise as well, I don't trust myself with counting. :-) Somehow 30 seconds will be shortened to 15, I'm sure. I do struggle with motivation when it comes to physio. I am 57, and I ride a kick scooter, like a 7-year old. Yes, my right knee a bit dodgy, but I like moving and riding a scooter alows for a great deal of control over posture, so, it's relatively safe... unless I fall, of course, then it is not safe anymore. Physio is soooooo slow. I do not like yoga and pilates for the same reason. I know I will greately benefit from doing physio, but my performence in this department is a bit patchy. I am on and off all the time.

64yr old woman recently prescribed insoles for flat feet and hammer toe. Feel they are impacting on my knees with slight discomfort when walking long distances. I've stopped wearing them and knee discomfort appears to be easing. I do a lot of walking. Would value your thoughts?

Don't feel a stretch. Might be because my pelvis is already very much tucked under? (genetic malformation). Will try the kneeling version, if I find the video.

When I do this stretch I have popping sounds from the leg I have in the back. The more I tuck my pelvis the more it pops. It doesn’t hurt, but am I doing something wrong or am I just that stiff? I’ve never been a limber person.

Worst video you’ve done. Waay too complex to do without physical observation and trial. This needs to be done under supervision.

This addresses my prime problem at 68 - slowed walking. I walk 3-4 miles a day, but my friends are complaining I'm too slow for them. I'll try this exercise for sure! Thanks.
