When we play a music in Desire 820 and hold it under your chin as one speaker towards left and the other right. You can experience the the stereo effect from it's twin speakers. It was awesome.

Hi Ranjit. I have seen almost all your reviews in 2014, good job, keep 'em coming ! As for the Desire 820, I have read reviews on Flipkart, Snapdeal and other tech websites as well as seen multiple reviews on KZbin. In the past, I have owned the M7, M8, E8 Dual SIM and the Desire 816. Apart from the M7, none of the other phones lasted a whole day for me (9AM to 10PM), in other words, offering just 2.5 to 3 hours of screen-on time. I thought the E8 was the worst in terms of battery life (it dropped 5-7% per hour even when idle!) as well as overall performance. I have the OnePlus One and the Nokia 1520. If I can find a good dual SIM Android phone (which will get Android 5 soon) that can perform to at least 75% of the OPO or 1520, I'd be more than happy. (By the way, all my phones have FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and 5 emails accounts turned on. If I have to keep turning any of them off, then whats the point of owning a smartphone !) So, my questions are: 1) What is the total screen-on time you got ? I usually don't play games more than 15-30 mins per day (the games that I usually play are Lumosity, Monument Valley, Shadow FIghter 2 and Subway Surfer). Most of the time, I'm on calls or (office) emails or browsing (be it on WiFi or mobile network). To me, battery life is the most important. 2) Does this phone have 4G on BOTH the SIMs ? If not, what are the networks (incl LTE bands) offered on each of those SIMs ? 3) How is the sunlight visibility, especially on 'Auto brightness' mode ? I have the OnePlus One (64GB) and the Nokia 1520. If I can find a good DUAL SIM Android phone (which will get Android 5.0 very soon) that can perform to at least 75% of the OPO or Lumia 1520, I'd be more than happy. I also hear that the 820S performs better than the 820 even though it uses just a MediaTek processor because its apparently clocked at 1.7gGHz, but I guess its not available in India. Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post but I'm sure answers to those questions will help many of your listeners ! [PS - I inadvertently broke the screen of my Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro last week, and I have ordered the Moto X 32GB 2nd Gen (customized using Moto Maker) which I bought for GBP 359, i.e. around Rs.35k using a 'GBP100 off' deal announced by Motorola on 'Cyber Monday'. I have seen and read extensive reviews that say that, despite its flaws, the Moto X 2nd Gen is still among the top 3 phones for 2014, taking into consideration all aspects of a regular smartphone user.]

Please make sure that the device is facing more towards the camera rather than you. You can operate it by being on the level and angle where the camera is set up! All the devices are always in a tilt position when you are shooting them, makes it really uncomfortable for me to see the actual display capabilities of the device. And thankyou for responding so quickly over the review of this device. Will be waiting for a full and gaming review as well!

Sir i read comments most of them stated that the device heats up a lot????I m a user m7 for almost two years now..And i can say it heats like hell due to its metallic body..while i play games etc etc..but as this device is made of polycarbonate plastic do this device also gets heated up normally????

hey ranjit look im someone from europe and i bought the same one and got the same cover and everything but mine is a 2gb ram and Quad-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 but running a 4.4.2 (kitkat)and the rear camera is 13mp and the front facing camera is 8mp... why is it different ?than the one purchased by you?

Sir, According To Me HTC Desire 816 had a better Build quality as compared to the 820 as the sides were matte which gave better feel and grip whereas in the 820 has a glossy material used on the sides ........Right Now I Own a HTC Desire 816 And I'm Very Happy with IT .The Intresting thing is that I bought it after seeing your review.
