This is the cleanest, nicest way that i have seen anyone take apart an m7, neat job!

Perfect. Instead of destrying the bezel like the first repair, I successfully got into the second client's m7 having to destroy the phone. In much faster, cleaner, and small parts on the m7 are now economic to repair thanks to this video! Keep up the great work!

well, this is how a pro does things, in other disassembly videos looks impossible without damaging the case, best guide for the m7, thanks man

Brilliant tutorial mate, you are pretty damn pro... I suspect you've gutted a few of these phones before. :) My One M7 developed charging issues after I let the battery go fully flat a couple times due to a cheap and dodgy travel charger. Started getting really hot when charging and under heavy use, until it finally stopped charging altogether a couple of months ago. Searched and viewed a bunch of vids that all made it look like getting into the phone without damaging the plastic bezel was practically impossible. Then found this and had the phone open in 10mins with no damage, using only a couple of guitar picks, a plastic spudger, some broad flat tweezers and the heat from my Dell LCD monitor. :D Now to get the guts out, ready for a new battery. Thanks again for the vid!

Every other video I have found depicting the back cover removal uses a phone that already has the adhesive released. This is the only video that illustrates how to actually take this phone apart.

Thanks for the video! It was really good and by far the best I've ran across. I got my phone together buuuuttt I broke something on the inside. Its time for a new one anyways...

Expert, I would like to ask... if I don’t have a heat gun, I have tried using the hairdryer however it doesn’t seem to work. The back cover doesn’t come out no matter how I used the “cutter”, I made many cut scratches between the side of the back cover (white part) and the back cover.. *cry*. Could you advise the tools I need and the better way for this? Thanks!

That is smart way to made a very nice and clean for open HTC one m7 with out scratch you made me have to buy a heat gun ... :D Thank you for share .

Thanks. The heat gun idea is great. Its the only way to do this without major damage. I replaced the camera module and battery. WARNING! The HTC ONE is not easy to work on. U have to have electronics experience. This is like micro electronics surgery. Good Luck!

Apart from being a video that warns of the glue and opens up the device without damage, making it the best one out there, I also hear Led Zeppelin playing in the background, which obviously adds a lot of brownie points.

Hello Hasone, Great video! When you opened the backcover, I didn't see the battery. Am I wrong or was it already out?
@hasone184810 жыл бұрын
The battery was in there. The phone in the video was never taken apart. If you go to 7:45 on the video the battery is under the motherboard. It's really glued on the front housing of the phone. Getting the battery out is a whole other video.

what can you do if your ht. m7 won't turn on any more .....It had 58% and i set it down on the table then i picked it up and it did not want to turn on i tried charging it and it did to want to wake up and i searched on google how to start it up but it did not work at all and were do y'all fix the phones because i need all my stuff
@hasone184810 жыл бұрын
That is a tough question since there is a lot that could be going on. First could be the battery, second could be the charging port went out, third could be the motherboard went out (if that is the case then you probably wont get you stuff off you phone). There are some other things that could have happened as well, so with out opening it up its hard to tell. If you google cell phone repair you should find something close to you.

Hi Jason, just a few days ago, the battery in my One m7 died. Since then, it will not boot up or even seem to charge as it has no charge indicator light. While plugged in, all it does is vibrate, the white htc android screen comes on, and it goes out. It just repeats this cycle. I can get to the boot menu by holding the appropriate buttons, but it doesn't respond to any selection I make. Would you know if this is a battery issue or a motherboard issue? I'd like to retrieve all the photos on the phone if possible as they weren't backed up unfortunately. Thanks very much.
@hasone18489 жыл бұрын
RaceBred83 Hi, sorry to hear about the issue you are having. From what you have said in the post, i would say its most likely a motherboard issue. The battery is doing its job by giving the phone power. The fun thing with phones is any thing could happen (maybe the battery is just supplying enough power to do what its doing and not enough to make the phone work). So is the phone vibrating the moment you plug in the charger, or is it after you hit the power button?
@RaceBred839 жыл бұрын
hasone Not the moment it's plugged in no. Only after its been on the charger for at least a few minutes will it vibrate quickly, then the white HTC android screen will appear. I was actually able to get a new factory battery for it for cheap so I figured I might as well try to change the battery using your breakdown as a guide and see if it works. Got nothing else to lose at this point. Thanks for getting back to me

just genuinely curious...why do you have to wear the gloves?? It something inside dangerous or something?
@hasone184810 жыл бұрын
The oils on your hands can do damage to the motherboard. The only time you REALLY have to wear gloves is if the battery is leaking.
@hasone184810 жыл бұрын
But I have fixed phones without gloves.
@Carli_Collects10 жыл бұрын
hasone ok! makes sense! I build computers on occasion and "they" say oils can mess those components up too, but I have never worn gloves, lol too lazy I guess! thanks for the reply!

ThePEVULS Yes the back can very much be replaced and you can switch colors.. i have done some black front - silver back, or red front - blue back before. I believe that you can buy the backs on line some where.
