I just spoke to HTC about trading my phone for this edition , and they told me that every Sprint HTC One M8 will get a software update bringing them these exact features from Hardan Karmon , so there's no need for me to trade up , that's great customer service if u ask me , they could have sold me that new edition ! Great Job HTC ! .. Good news for Sprint owners

I do have the One M8 and ling before I have used the Harman / Kardon AE headphones with my old HTC One X/X+ and One M7 where its sounds gorgeous...! I have noticed a difference in sound processing from the old "Beats" sound processing in comparison to the new "Boom Sound" Processing which is a bit echoey. Well, I have the Middle East version, if so ever, would it be possible to buy the unit and use it here in the middle east...? Whats the difference in the sound processing...?

if you are rooted and run a custom rom you can already flash the zip for the hk edition software tweeks at xda. I just did I hope to compare vs the stock version tomorrow. Luckily I work for a wireless carrier so I can test with the demo phone

That's EXACTLY what HTC need - added value to customers (spotify sub) that they actually WANT that also emphasises the phone's key differentiator - the speakers / audio. I hope Telstra picks something similar up in Australia, though I don't think it likely as they're to be partnering with Beats.

I'm not sure if it's the case anymore but Harman/Kardon was one of the most sought after names in audio. Up there with Bowers and Wilkins. Forget Beats Audio, I'd be seriously interested in this phone for the earbuds alone (which are probably only around 80-100 bucks) but still. Real audiophiles know H/K have a solid reputation.

Good to have clari-fi and livestage already ported to my one m8, check out XDA, should work on any variant as long as you are rooted, on a custom rom and have system write permission.

Yes. They are. The 4lte i get where i am( which literally took forever to get here and is lackluster at that) is slower than tmobiles 3G

OMG WORST SERVICE NETWORK EVER. I've tried all 4 major ones and I think Verizon is the best although most expensive and now I have T-Mobile which is great too. With Sprint, I had dropped calls, delayed text messages, couldn't send messages, error when trying to call people, horrible horrible internet speeds and horrible coverage. It was just pure nightmare. Granted, this was 2 years ago and Sprint has been touting that they've changed their infrastructure, however, that time with Sprint was so traumatic I don't think I could ever go back.

Beats audio worked for me, better than nothing, and if you don't like it, just switch it off. Don't know who's getting desperate, but Samsung with their touchwiz is a lot worse, tons of rubbish, nearly no functionality, and a bunch of limitations. No thanks, I would definitely prefer a black HTC one, to bad that I live in Europe... Just noting, if you had followed the news a bit, HTC has Samsung's marketing chief Paul Golden working for them now...
