Android Authority You actually CAN remove tiles in quick settings. When in edit mode just drag the tile below the hidden tiles bar and it will not be in quick settings once you press done. You don't have to keep 12 tiles in quick settings. At least not on the Verizon M8.

Hey left to right gesture takes you to whatever page is immediately after blink feed (to its right) do if you your home screen isn't that page it will not take you to your home.

For the motion launch gestures, you don't actually have to swipe from the edge of the screen.

Thanks for this. I got a couple of useful tips from your vid. I wanted to comment on the gestures for turning the phone on into whatever mode. From my experience, a complete fail, as I carry my phone in my front pants pocket a lot and I found the phone was self-activating and going into all sorts of modes, just from the motion of being in my pocket. Alas, I've turned off the feature, reluctantly.

You can remove/hide the toggles .-. You just drag it down underneath the _Hidden Item (Drag to add to quick settings)_ tab. (I am using the AT&T model of this device)

i have the m8 but I'm going to get the note 4 because I'm going from sprint to at&t and i just rather a bigger phone. (not that the m8 is small or anything)

Don't get note, I have note 3 and yesterday I dropped it and my s-pen broke and a piece is still I'm my phone. :( I decided never again to get a note device, I'm gonna get the S5

I'm a huge fan of Samsung, this is the only time that I would say something against it. And it is clearly a Samsungs fault cuzz they produced it wrong. S-pen always falls out when you drop your phone and it is made from too light materials so you can easily break it with your hand.

They should've copied the LG-double tap function all together, so one can lock the device as well. It's a tall phone, so it's annoying to have to use the button on top, which will be a reason people will drop their phone, especially the gun metal gray one which is really slippery. I also find it annoying that on my 720p Nexus 4 I have rows of 5 icons and on my 1080p One M8 I have rows of 4.
