i just wanted to say that I have been watching you years ago when I was searching for a reliable reviewer and unboxer. I stumbled across this guy jon4lakers who taped from his apartment but always seemed really excited about what he was doing and was extremely knowledgeable about all the products he reviews. I have this phone and it still amazes me every day I pick it up and ive had it since launch. And its on 4.4.2 which is also sweet. Can't speak highly enough about it. A year later and still the leader by example.

My best friend has the HTC One and I have to say I'm jealous. The camera is great, the speakers are awesome and it just looks really nice. I have a Galaxy S 2 that I've had since 2011. I want to upgrade, and when I do, I'm getting an HTC One! :D

Just got my HTC ONE. I've used a ton of different phones and it's by far the best . Just switched from the Galaxy S4 to the HTC ONE. Love it. And yes, iPhones are horrible. Had the the iPhone 5. Boring. Apples iPhones never change.

I got the HTC One just two days ago! It's freaking amazing, I did a lot of research and with the help of this review I came to this conclusion. Speakers are loud and awesome, camera is Amazing, browsing the internet is so smooth, battery lasts all day guys, even with heavy usage. I have not found one con yet. After more experience with the phone I'll leave an update until then.

I was told the aluminium gets hot after use. Did you notice this? With heavy use how long would the battery last? For example, heavy use of whats app, emails, calls, texts, gaming. Would it last a full day? 20 hours?

Great review. It's nice that you listed all the bad sides of it in the end so you actually realize all that is not good and it is easier to decide whether you like it or not. Planning to upgrade to this,LG G2 or Samsung Galaxy S4.

ok so i'm 16, just left school and have now had a job for a week. By the end of next week I will have enough money for the htc one. It's the phone I want as it stands. The question is, the one has been out for a while now and i don't want to buy it if a new, better version comes out in a couple of months for a similar price to which the htc one is now, so do you think it is worth buying it now and just enjoying the phone, or waiting it out? I would still be getting a top notch phone right?

Serious question, how durable is the phone from drops and hits? My friend dropped his iPhone 5 with an outer shell and the screen cracked! I'm not the type to drop or chuck my phone all the time but things we don't like still happen.

@Tom Lockhart considering verison will be getting the phone later this year It won't be out of date anytime soon. There are a few phones expected later this year that may have better specs, but nothing much better than the HTC one's. I'm using it right now and it's great, lots of development support and quick updates.

I'm HTC's loyal fans, I love its high resolution pixels, and additional air gesture function, HTC is powerful, HTC one is strong. I recently saw a phone named OrientPhone S6 , not only looks like HTC one very much, but also includes air gesture function.

One annoying issue I have with the HTC One is with using a Bluetooth headset. I keep my phone in my pocket. I'm on a phone call while the phone is in my pocket. When the call ends the screen comes on which leads to pocket dialing. Is there a setting I'm not seeing on my phone to stop it from doing that? It's very annoying!

I need help. So when i hold the power button to turn my HTC one off, it says it's going to restart, so i get scared and let go of the power button. What exactly does it mean by it's going to restart. Is it going to delete my contact, music, pictures etc... Or is it just going to power off.

You can make a hotspot for internet on your One and connect to that using tour PC. (Why not browse on your mobile?)
