Hey guys! Thanks for the video! It helped me a lot! I was rejected in 4 different mobile services for this replacement with the excuse that this phone is the most difficult for opening and closing?! I bought spare parts and followed your instructions step by step and without previous experience I managed to replace the display and the battery, and everything to put in to the new housing with no problems! The only thing that I did that you haven't in your video is the heating of the back cover before I started to pop it out. Maybe it's a little bit easier. Now I don't understand what is the excuse for all those servicers I have asked before? Are they relay know to do anything if this simple thing is to hard for them?

the chassi on my HTC one is broken and the Glass too but i dont know if the lcd is broken or not, should i just change the glass and chassi or the lcd to? btw i have never changed a chassi or lcd before i was thinking of buying it from your webiste and do it myself. My Htc one lcd/digitizer/screen was replaced a while ago, the same way it was done in this video. Only the factory adhesive just under the lcd/digitizer/screen wasn't replaced or reinforced. The screen is now sticking out a bit, it's useable but very annoying and it's just not fine by me. How can i fix this smal problem by myself? don't want to mess anything up and ruin the whole phone. It's just under the screen like on 1:09 and 9:45 Any tips on how to add adhesive on the inner housing??

Hi repairs universe... I have followed the whole video as instructed, I have replaced the entire housing of the phone as opposed to just the screen as shown in your video! However the new screen in unresponsive, when switched on I am getting the vibrator and sounds but the screen is blank, can you help?

Hey I just cracked my screen :( I was wondering if you have to replace the screen and digitizer or if you can also just replace the digitizer. There are some vendors out there who sell just the digitizer which is a lot cheaper and the screen itself is ok.

The issue you will run into is the LCD and the Digitizer are fused together. It takes a lot of time and patience to separate the two without damaging the LCD. We have found that the benefit does not out weigh the risk on this device. So we are only offering the LCD/Digitizer combo at this time. This make an already difficult job easier.

Hey I followed your directions exactly and connected everything. However when I turn my htc one m7 back on the led notification light comes on and the phone vibrates. But the screen remains black. I know the phone is turning on and charging just a black screen. I double checked all the ribbon cables and they look alright . Please help

Thanks for a good and useful video! Using your video I managed to replace screen, battery, USB charge port and back cover. One flaw however has appeared. The home screen has in several places vibrating lines, which is quite disturbing. It is not a general mistake with the LCD as the lines disappear when scrolling to another page or when opening an app. What is causing this and can it be fixed?

+Diego ruiz Difficult to confirm, really just have to try it and see what comes of it. Battery is a good start but when you open the device check for any corrosion on the logic board. You may also require additional items like your LCD and Touch screen assembly possibly also your dock port.

Well, i have a problem, i've done all this, everything went great but after I started the phone, i've notice the speaker dose not work fine so I had to re-adjust the speaker, I've placed everything back on and now the phone won't turn on! If I plug in the cable to charge the phone, the screen turns on with the batery that is being charged and the red led turns on. Do you have any Idea what might be the issue? I've tryed everything, power button + volume buttons and bla bla, I've disconected the batery several times, still didnt work... Any idea how I could fix this?

Its not worth the trouble to save 20.00. You can buy the lcd and touch without the frame for under 50.00. Go that way. Or the whole frame. Take it from someone who has repaired over 100 M7.

The LCD is fused to the Digitizer. You would have to heat the digitizer to about 110 degrees then separate the screen from the LCD. You then use (LOCA) Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive to re bond the digitizer to the lcd. This is really hard to do even if your a professional. Get the complete unit. Save yourself some time and Grey hairs. Good Luck!

Could possibly be software issue. However, we do recommend starting with the battery. Difficult to confirm without reviewing the unit though.

FYI, you should remove the daughterboard before the battery. I did the battery first and broke a cable on the daughterboard and had to replace the whole thing :/

Amalie Eidissen The screen and the lcd are fused together. For you to do this repair you would have to separate the two screens without damaging the LCD. If this is done then you would need to refuse the screens with a Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive. Then cure this with a UV light.

Mostly good video. There must be model differences, however, because mine had a long cable along the left side (volume button side), that is not in this video. The ribbons connecting the volume button were a bit different also. The biggest oversight, though, is that it fails to address how to remove the other items under the sister board...particularly the top speaker. It does NOT come out easily and I think I ripped the top off of it not knowing that was happening. It appears to be glued down pretty well so that the glue is more sturdy than the diaphram. Not sure how I would have done it at all unless I could have pushed it up from the grill...which I don't think is possible. Oh...and the comment that the screws are all the same size is completely wrong. There were probably three or four dramatically different sizes so definately keep track! I took a screen shot of the diagram showing the screw locations and printed it out, then taped each screw in its rightful location for later retrieval. Lastly, the speaker damage didn't end up making a difference because the repair didn't work anyway. Bummer. Still have a black screen with the "home" and "back" buttons lighting up. Thing that really sucks is that it is working because it starts up the HTC sync software when I plug it into the computer, but can't read anything because there is a lock screen. Well, I can't undo the lock screen because the screen doesn't work. Crap...not sure what to do now. Any ideas? Thanks! Oh...and the "considerable force" it took to remove the back actually broke the housing a bit just above the volume button. I'd just cover it with a case, so that too wouldn't really matter to me.

Actually there are 14 screws inside, and NOT 13! Also the screws are NOT identical, and therefore, one has to keep track of their original locations for re-assembly!
