This Guy gave the Chinese Op5 more than 10 mins but could find only 6 mins to talk about U11. He was finding it so difficult to praise the phone eventually had to give in otherwise his credibility would have been questioned. I could sense that he was reviewing it for the sake of reviewing bcoz people wanted him to. He is better of reviewing op5 n others where he gets money to sing songs for the phone brand. BTW he was having good time at an event for op5 as if he was the ambassador of One plus not a reviewer. So he says he likes the phone but wouldn't use it because he prefers stock android. But he loves the Galaxy S8? Far from stock android. HTC skin is closer to stock than any other phone outside of Pixel and OnePlus. I've had this phone for 2 weeks and my only minor complaint is lack of headphone jack because I've always had a phone with one . It does have a dongle included and I just need to adjust to it. This review seems half effort. No mention of the audio quality on this phone. 360 audio while recording. And the earbuds that come with the phone are very good. If you don't like or want to use the squeeze feature turn it off.

Avril Devine Actually this nor other videos this year(of the flagships at least) is a review video exactly. Not even the Note 8 has been reviewed(So it's not clear who's supposed to be paying Marques) It's just first impressions. The review video will usually be about 10 minutes long. And we come back after three months for another video. But just at the moment, there's a lot of launches flying around with similar specs. So Marques is waiting for all the eggs to drop before we get some sense of how they actually compare to one another. Every one of these phones is really good in a bunch of ways. Every camera is 'dope' until you start comparing to the others and discover that some are a little less dope than others. So like I said, wait for all the eggs to drop. Meanwhile he's going around reviewing stuff that nobody else does, of some interesting midrangers, of devices that DON'T have Snapdragon 835, aren't competing in the tired screen-body ratio stakes, and are doing something that might be the in thing tomorrow but is not quite there yet today like the Red Hydrogen phone. Given that there are so many folks out there to rave and nitpick and crunch the numbers on these phones, why should Marques waste his fame on following the herd? So for the present, he's doing short videos of the more unusual features of otherwise predictable flagships and reserving his longer efforts to devices that dare to explore uncharted territories. Seems like the thing to do.

Some of you will say that this is a gimmick, but that's just because it was not implemented by Samsung or Apple first. If you want proof, look at the M8. It had dual cameras 3 years ago and everyone said it was a gimmick, but then the iPhone 7+ comes out with dual cameras and suddenly it's a must have for every phone. Looks to me that HTC is just a few years ahead of its time...

As a U11 owner the two things I would add to this review are the incredible internal and external audio capabilities (far exceeding current flagships, including the iPhone 7 Plus which I also own) and the fact that it will have native voice activated Alexa capabilities later this summer (already had Google Assistant). Incredibly well-rounded phone. Highly recommend!

This further supports what many people have already speculated, which is that HTC is not paying MKBHD nearly as much as LG or Samsung, which is why his reviews on the G6 and S8 are much longer and much more detailed.

Honestly the U Ultra isn't that bad as most reviewers stated....way better than the G6 and S8, at least it doesn't turn to complete shit after 3 months of use like samsung and LG phones. I use both the G6 dual sim with quad dac and the U Ultra,and its safe to say to U ultra is the better device. the screen is way better, with live colors,the audio is way better( the quad dac is pure marketing,its doesn't do that much of a difference in terms of sound,the G6 sounds boring) the camera on the G6 is better and that's about it. the 18:9 aspect ratio makes things looks cramped where on the U Ultra everything looks bigger and more natural despite both sporting a 5.7 inch displays.

Every year I upgrade to the best flagship phone available IMO (regardless of brand) and this year was no exception... I had a few good options available which included the S8, G6 and the U11... after playing around with my wife's S8, my cousin's G6 and eventually the U11 at my local telco, I decided on the U11... To be totally transparent... the HTC U11 is a stellar phone, as is the G6 and S8. I chose the U11 simply on preference... great screen, good battery, great camera, good looks and a clean UI... the other features is just a bonus. I find myself using the Edge Sense more and more... quite useful. Don't be a sheep... choose whatever suites you and ignore the rest...

Ikhsan Hasbi they include a usb c dongle, which also has an added amplifier to listen to music with high impedance headphones. They also include noise cancelling usb headphones. At least they make up for it, Apple would leave you high and dry removing the headphone jack and same with the u ultra. The u11 does make up for it

The phone over here has some stupid software garbage (cough Samsung Assistant cough). This phone doesn't have an SDcard slot. Oh, that phone won't work with my awesome grandfathered CDMA Sprint plan. Oh wait, this one doesn't have wireless charging. phones suck ass right now imo, especially the rooting/unlocking part. edit: basically I want a full featured phone and no one makes it. I'm frustrated as fuck. That's why I'm still running a G3.

Wasted 6:41 minutes of my time to see this. 10 minutes to review a OP5 ... Photo reviews, etc. This one, best rated camera on DxO Mark, doesn't get it. NO talk about: IP67, great speakers, Best offered in-earphones, USonic experience, Good noise cancelling options, (on par with every good in-ear, not comparing with over the ear phones), 3d audio recording, with Acoustic focus. Funniest thing is that you have time to talk about a scrollable screenshot feature on the OP5. (just to capture your sense of important useful real life features... LOL Sorry, but I am unsubscribing! I think the phone deserves a more thorough review. You missed a few spots. You didn't even mention the audio experience the phone provides, because as usual with HTC, they dust the competition in terms of sound quailty.

I had a pixel XL which I loved .I took a oneplus5 on trial but the camera was not very good . I've now had the u11 for a week and it's like an enhanced pixel phone . Even better camera and that's saying something, great screen on time of 5 to 6 hours and it looks amazing. Audio DAC excellent too which was the pixel weak point. Edge sense becomes totally natural it's excellent for instant camera .

0:27 Brah, what?!? The U11 is starting out $100 cheeper than the U Ultra when it came out. While I guess $650 is relatively similar to $750 in total price, in comparison to the competition that reduced price point it huge. Not just something that you should barely gloss over after ripping into the U Ultra at length, and deservedly so, on being overpriced. Especially when the U11 undercuts the S8 by about $75 and the S8+ by $175. I just don't understand how you could make such a big deal about the Ulta being overpriced and then in this video, for a much more capable phone, just say "similarly priced".

Okay, I am not going to blame him for not mention many other great features of this phone, I only talk about his consistency. Watch his video of HTC 10, he likes HTC sense and said it's very responsive and snappy, pretty much close to stock Android. In this video he said he won't buy this phone because of the software, he prefers stock Android. Seriously? It's the same HTC Sense UI! On HTC 10 video, he likes the fingerprint sensor, said it's the top 5 in the market. This video he said the fingerprint sensor is annoying. WTF

I read the comments before watching and was surprised to see so much negativity. But after watching I can understand why to a degree. This video feels rushed just to get to the squeeze feature. Many important features are simply left out: Speakers, Water resistance, Audio, etc. Been a huge fan for a long time but this video just seemed off.

Chill guys, its not mkbhd's fault. He is always biased towards what he likes (pixel, tesla), and it shows a little in other videos, but in this one, it came out fully. I mean, this person didnt even go out to take pictures, each and every damn picture was indoor, and one from window. No talking about the good features, the sound quality etc, bashing on display brightness for the sake of bashing. This was utter bullshit. Oh and the comment u deleted which got over 3k likes, just throws you're credibility in the dustbin which was already on the way to dustbin after this review. You could have defended yourself in one way or the other after the review, but after "DELETING" that comment, you have nothing to defend, u just exposed yourself.
