I like the video, I know it is arcade mode tho because simulator mode in war thunder don't have such map, and its probably a replay playback with removed HUD, but you can still enjoy the roller coaster ride using HTC Vive, I'm looking for a gameplay with webcam exactly like this one in simulator mode cause I play it and I play it with keyboard and mouse.

Tell me how to.play this game and I'll stream exactly that. VR with Cam in a race cockpit. I've tried my flight stick for total immersion w 3 screens but it's Soo fucked. Then I heard I need to use a mouse cause that's what everyone else does, and that pissed.me.off that people will tape me cause I'm using a flight stick like I should and they use mouse and I hear the mouse is how everyone plays cause it's Soo good? Can I use an Xbox controller or anything and be competitive online? Or am I just gonna have to do it and mouse? I have had cr for two yrs and have never played this game because of this issue. Watching this tho makes me wanna play it after work tonight. So someone explain how the fuck the best way to.control the planes and be competitive and I'll make.shit.tons of VR flying streams and vids w camera etc. I even have audio transducers to feel the vibration and explosions!

@@shaneclipse97 If you are in Arcade mode, flying with a stick puts you at a disadvantage over people who can just point the mouse where they want to go. And the flights is so dumbed down on rails that a stick really is a disadvantage, like flight in the newer battlefield games. I played a little WT because I had already gotten a HOTAS thanks to Star Citizen (it will be so amazing when it is finished... In 2028...), and very quickly jumped to IL-2 and haven't looked back. It's miles better!

Dogfighting is great. Far distance recognition is awful.

You don't dogfight in warthunder. Dogfighting is cancer cause broken flight models. And if you're playing realistic battles there won't be any name tag over an enemy. Far range recognition is decent enough to see an enemy and boom&zoom em.

Cool video I am due to buy oculas rift or htc vive and this is one of my favorite games. Been dreaming of VR for years. I'm not sure if you have tried the rift¿ Do you know how they each compare with War Thunder? I used to hear that with the vive and rift it is very difficult to see enemies that are far. Is that still true because i heard that changed when war thunder revamped their textures. Not sure what's true, if you could please enlighten me.

Just tried it on the RX 480 on medium. Seemed to spend most of its time in reprojection but other than that it was a very smooth experience. Much better than DCS which is basically unplayable on my rig.

I would have to disagree ive always been intrigued by the 410. Real the Germans did some interesting things to this strike fighter. It did not do well as day fighter but I believe they had some success at night with it. I remember reading that it had really strange flight characteristics that really had to have the pilot's full focus. I always thought the design as dope though

I have a GTX 970 with the HTC VIVE, it runs. You won't be able to do highest detail but it still works fine and is a great experience. Not to mention my CPU is incredibly old, a first gen i7 920. Get the Vive if you can, and just know that eventually you should update your GPU. Just to clarify, though, I haven't tried this game yet.

It renders the games at a higher resolution. Incredibly demanding on your gpu but makes games look amazing. If you want to enable it google is your friend.

VR on the PC isn't exactly consumer friendly. Most games require you to fiddle with "strange" settings. I pretty much change Steam VR settings with each game I play. Luckily there are programs that can switch settings for you once you figure out which ones work best for you. But yeah, the vive and Oculus has very low resolution in the end anyway, that's not exactly a secret (it's right there on the package, how much lower than your monitor it is).

That's arcade battle mode, with increased engine power and some physics tweaks to make planes able to do sideslip turns and such. In realistic or sim battles it becomes more of a brick, heavy and lumbering.
