Thanks for the review. I'm surprised more people don't use this brand of charger. I was using the really cheap $25, two channel charger for a year, until one of the channels stopped working. I replaced it with the T240 Duo, which arrived today. It is almost exactly the same as the C240, except it has a really simple to use color touch screen. Same price as this one. Follow Nick's link and then look it up, so Nick gets the affiliate deal.

Thank you for review! C240 can discharge 2s(3s,4s....) battery without balance plug? Only via power cable +/-? Or need connect balance cable everytime? For example SKYRC IMAX B6 support charge/discharge 2-6s batteries without balance plug.

BONUS!!! If you use the Mini TS-100 solder iron with a XT-60 power cord, you can use this charger for the power source. The DC outlet on the right side of the charger puts out 11-18 volts @ 1 amp. I tried it on my T-240 (very similar) and it works.

Hay Nick, That's a nice charger I have a old ECO POWER and I can't balance charge my 3s anymore I need a separate balance board and it only does one battery at a time be nice to do two for once.

hi nick, i considered your review as one of my reference in buying the c240 charger which i got for a bargain here in the Philippines for just around $40. anyways, i saw other comments i dont know from here or other reviews but for plug problems, no need to buy adapters...just simply cut the original plug and simply replace it with the local electrical plug used in your country using the blue and brown wires and leaving the yellow wire unconnected and your ready to go. worked for me and i got my plug for just about 50cents. just a suggestion though and hope it helps. thanks a lot and it is so far a nice charger.

I just got the HTRC T240 duo off of Banggood for $65 . Very similar to the C240 except the T240 has a touch Screen.Very happy with it .

I do like this charger. My only noticeable complaint about it is. When I duel charge the 2nd charger tends to take longer or tends to drag on after the 1st side is complete. I'd even have more power in my 2s lipo and place it in the 2nd charging port and the other battery would still charge faster. Once in a while I see the duel charger on port 2 take a much longer time finishing. You see the amps get low like its about finished and it would go back up around 1.5 to 2 amps and then drop down again. This may repeat several times, while the port 1 would come down to .6 amps and would complete the charge

I use the boldclash P01 whoopower1s lipo/LiHV charger cause I only have 1s batteries but it’s really good charger if all you have if tinywhoops or only all 1s batteries like me for micros , I’m gunna have to get something like this when it come time to upgrade cause I would like to know the MAH capacity that gets charged into the battery’s to see if they match what the label says on them

Hi Nick - great review. However only 75 W per channel - Not sure it would handle 4S and 5S 5000 mah lipo's that I need to charge two of at a time. I've got a Venom dual charger that I am going to have to replace as it will not handle two 4S or 5S and 5000 mah at the same time as it is only 70 W per channel.

Just picked up the T240 with the touch screen. Probably didn't need the touch screen, but it sure is cool looking...lol...these HTRC chargers are a bargain and just work.

Hey, that's what I do with my 4 separate chargers! Looks pretty standard at a good price. 2 amp discharge is cool! Dean's connectors are a poor choice imo.

depends on the approved discharge rate of the battery. All are different.

Couple of things... 1. You can easily find coupons for the Hobbymate charger to knock it down to $120 without much effort. (for amazon: RCESCAPE as an example) 2. There's a big feature I didn't see on this charger that to me is worth having on all chargers - I don't see any easy way to view resistance of cells. That's indispensable for figuring out if your batteries are going bad or need to be retired. ISDT and Hobbymate chargers have that. Can you do that with this charger?

I did dog the Qi charging on the top of it as a gimmick... until I was out in the field flying and my phone ran out of battery and I didn't have my power bank or lightning cable with me... *sigh* I was wrong, that's actually useful. lol

Am I supposed to use the banana plug in and the alligators to my battery to charge when I am in my vehicle? I wanted to remove the alligator clips and install a cigarette lighter connection. Also, what are those PC Links supposed to do? It has all the connectors except for that PC Link and the Temp Links. Thank you, and good video!

banana plug into the charger, alligator clips to car battery. PC link would be to update the software running the hardware. likely not needed, but could down the road.

Have you guys noticed that if you use the discharge function on channel 1 that it errors out it a couple of minutes with the message "OVER Int. TEMP CUTOFF". This continues every couple of minutes requiring you to restart the process. This exact discharge function fully completes successfully on channel 2 with exactly the same parameters and cables. I am assuming that this is not the same as the Ext. TEMP CUTOFF that you can set in the user settings. I have tested this on a couple of these chargers with the same observations. Tried multiple experiments, e.g. with/without temperature probes, default External Temp Cutoff as well as adjusting this parameter. Using new or used LiPo's give the same errors. Again, it works fine on Channel 2 but not Channel 1. Just want to see if anyone else experiences this.

I just tested discharging for over 10 minutes on my unit bought in 2023 and didn't experience that problem.

I could. It has a setting to disable balance lead, but we would still need to make a led for the 1s batts.
