I’ve always wanted to throw my hat into the ring on this. Thunder’s deisgn is BAD. Mostly in his silhouette and proportions. It doesn’t look all that bad at all glance, but once you really look at it, it’s awful. I’ve alywas personally liked the idea of them re-using the Lightfury’s concept art for the Modern day Nightlights. So we could have both the beautiful HTTYD 3 LightFury and get to see what the concept art could’ve been if they’d gone through with it. Specifically the gray one with all the cool markings. That’s just me though. I absolutely LOVE your redesign! It’s leagues better than what we got. I wish it was cannon!

Having more white honestly makes more sense. Toothless' black genes wouldnt be that strong in his future generations for long (probably not even long enough to have any black at all by 1300 years) so it is better to be more white! I love your redesign.

In my opinion I hate the nine realms. Httyd 1-3 + The series, is more like not cartoon(??) and the Dragons look more like dragons...in the nine realms its like a cartoon...like a baby show ngl, and the dragons from nine realms don't look anything like the ones from httyd, yes yes I know its 1300 years after the events of httyd 3 and homecoming but like.. seriously they could of done a little better.

literally, i decided to try and atleast watch the first 2 episodes to make this video and i dont think i even made it through the first, such a shame caus with this and then the news of the live action remake its clear that universal/the higher ups simply do not care tbh
