I've had one of those machines for nearly 30 years. Works great for plane blades and jointer blades, if kept flat.

Does this company still exist. Seems this kind of wheel grind sharpener makes more sense being horizontal. VS the vertical wheel grinders..What is the brand/model of this machine?

@@AGC828 Made by a company called shinko , it's a STD-180E, You can import them from japan for not much money. Might need a converter for power supply depending on where you live :)

@@Mr1Ali1 thank you. I think Nanaiwa has one too. But as good as idea as it looks the cost to import... Makes sticking with whetstones still the best way

@@AGC828 Hi mate, just thought I'd let you know I bought one for £60 and it cost about £30 to ship and £30 to import so was worth it for me!

@@Mr1Ali1 Sounds like a good deal. Not ridiculous expensive. But I'm the end... Whetstones are still the way to go. Plus these wheels.. You need to have a place to put one..e.g. garage. I live in a condo. Cheers. Be safe.
