Iberia is the name of the peninsula, Spain and Portugal make the entirety of it. Bullfighting is practiced in both countries. I oppose to any bloodsport, but having this one as mainstream while growing up (it's illegal in Portugal today, I believe), has given me some insight that makes it hard for me to condemn outright. The actions really go in the opposite way of it's intentions here. The actions are, the torture of a defenseless animal, but the intentions seemed to be the elevation of the bull to a warrior status, to give him an honorable death in battle. There was definitely the feeling that the bull and the fighter were equals by the end of it. Hua Hua seems to have captured this perfectly, without condemnation, but he still makes the final plea that we should stop doing this.

It’s nice that you watch the previous interview. It helps us to understand the song. We translated for the singer ep1 and 2. So you can see the subtitles for the song. But there’s no translation for Hua’s song in episode 3. They started to record the Episode 3 without the audiences. And he’s going to sing a song he made for the covid 19.

Actually it is not that about bullfighting itself, it is more about the humanity, good or bad side of it that the bullfighting reveals. It is a song for all mankind I think.

Yeah if you follow the link to the episode where this performance is from just before he sort of explains and talks about the meaning behind the song/theme of. In part I perceive it as part of a metaphor for conflict, and toward the middle end calm interlude where he pulls off his necklace and places it within the focused light which actually in the shape of a heart, that is meant to symbolize laying to rest a conflict if/when can and appropriate.

At the end of the song, When I heard the gradual weakening piano, for me it’s like the last drops of the blood dropping on the ground, and the bull is still struggling but becoming weaker and weaker, eventually it give up it’s last breath,and “BOOM !!!”, finally the bull falling down on the ground, it’s all over.

You are right about the lighting. He worked with the person who controls the lighting. In episode 5 he worked with camera men and asked only use single camera. He is not only pay attention to his performance but he also pays attention to the accessories he wears. For episode 6 and 7, the accessories are related because the two songs are related as well. I would say episode 6,7 and 8 are trilogy. ❤️🌹🌹

He recorded a "vocalise" in that operatic voice. Called FOLDINGS ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3SXqaecjr-MoqM ). It's an art performance that most people are not accustomed to. Some even find it disturbing. He is almost not visible during the performance, because it's a choreographed modern dance performance. I recommend you watch it.

There is actually a weird piece of modern dance called "Folding" in which Hua chenyu does the melody in his high pitched voice. I leave a link behind. Huas singing starts at 3.15. 沈伟, Shen Wei,'Folding' 华晨宇,Hua Chenyu,《声希》Sound 130119 It's more an experimental dance I think, than actually modern dance. I'am curious what you think about that. It is crazy stuff. :))
