If i had to pick it would be the mate 10 pro , clearly better build quality , better screen , bigger battery , more camera options , It's a no brainer . However , not a dedicated headphone jack or sd card between them , and across the pond the very basic equipped pixel costs galaxy note money ...... the ordacity of google . I'd have to pick the mate 10 overall. Shame about the Google they need to be in the phone game longer to contend with these bigger brands. The only benifit i can see for me with the pixel is daydream vr and there software though for me i dont like stock android. I'm used to the ott Samsung user interfaces. Yes a bit to much going on but theve massively improved the quality the last few years. For now I'll stick with my galaxy's. Oh I must say though credit to Google for the great camera software and front speakers.

I've bought mate 10 pro because it was slightly smaller and costed 200 EUR less in Germany. I'm very happy with the phone, there is not much bloatware, only thing that I needed to change was to install Google keyboard. Battery life is great as already said.

I have the Mate 10Pro 128gb Dual SIM and a 256gB Dual Sim Note 8. Both great phones and very difficult to choose between the two. Both bought in from China, Mate 10Pro £588GBP & Note 8 £820GBP. After seeing a Pixel 2 Large with its worrying contrasting screen as you tilt it side to side, I'm afraid I wouldn't even consider one. For the price the Mate 10Pro is the clear winner.

Just got the Mate 10 pro, just because I like to be different and going by the specs it looked to be a very competitive and worth the price, the mate 10 pro is an excellent phone and IMO better than the Pixel2 Xl , however I do agree that the huawei EMUI is ugly but having said that, there are launchers that look like stock android ie lawnchair launcher app which I use, so you don't have to put up with the EMUI ui.

I wont lie, price and everything involved pros and cons ect... the mate 10 wins for me. The oled helps too, 1080p at that size is good enough for the human eye. You only need higher res in a much bigger screen, we are talikng 4K 65-75 inch TV technology

It's an OLED on the Huawei mate 10 pro . Huawei did say it in their conference and I'm typing off of the mate 10 pro . Fantastic phone I can go to bed with 100% and when I wake up it's still 100%

The Mate 10 pro has an amazing design. The Google Pixel 2 XL looks a bit boring. I was pretty disappointed with its design. Would be interesting to know how good or bad headphones sound with each phone. (volume/quality) because of the adapter - compared with a S8 that has a headphone jack. Of course you should use the same headphones.

eh if you swipe up from the bottom of Mate 10 Pro at lock screen you should see more shortcuts... including recorder, calculator, timer and flash light... I'm not using the phone but that should be a common Huawei feature.
