@@wubinfan603 I bought the p20 pro around a year ago the day before the launch of the p30 series, it works flawlessly the fingerprint scanner is very fast. It isn't as advanced as the newer phones but it will work for another year.

Right on time when Huawei confirmed it'll allow users to unlock the bootloader which means that even without the Google services we can still diy it by using custom roms to bring them back. That's fantastic. I'm amazed by how much tech Huawei crammed into the camera, the largest camera sensors in a phone by far and the highest video and photo iso in ever in a phone and there's much more than that, those are only the basics.

in order to use google play store you need another app called google play services which you can also find as an apk online. I've tried myself it works because I've bought my phone from china and all Android devices in china don't have any Google apps

You can just tab on the edgeless side (It is called the water fall as the screen and images roll off the edge) and the volume bar will show up. No need to click on the power button.

No google apps on board? wonderful!!! just get google play from the app gallery and install the google apps you need like, google assistant chrome, youtue, maps and drive. youre free from all the rest of google's bloatware. and its running Android Q out of the box. i see no reason to complain. since we're in the PH, we'll have a better price compared to the rest of the world when it launches here.

I know some Chinese phones sold in China came with Google Service Framework pre-installed but that's not happening for Huawei. You will have to unlock the BL and flash the Gapps zip, or root your phone and use a Google installer. Either way it's hard for the average Joe.
