Luc Steve obviously scratching is important. But imo there is no good reason to have a folding phone, but a folding tablet is more applicable. Like unless you are talking about women’s pants, large phones still fit in pockets. And now you have to unfold your smartphone every single time you want to use it which is a bit feeble. Particularly when ppl complain if facial recognition is 2ms too slow, but they glorify unfolding a phone. But tablets are hard to take places. So if a 10 inch tablet could be the same size as a galaxy s20 ultra I think that would finally make me go, yeah, a folding device is good.

It's a much better foldable than other foldable phones though. Like he said, it's a phone first that can be opened into a tablet. The Samsung fold is a tablet that becomes a phone. The Huawei way is much better.

When folded it's a regular (yet beautiful) smartphone. When open it's a nearly square tablet. Those incredible cameras, that can also be used as your front camera(s)! Doesn't have mid-range specs like the RAZR. *And,* doesn't have a tiny battery like every other foldable. Seems like the dream foldable smartphone.

@@atlas6538 I doubt you'd ever be able to afford it and even if you somehow did(which would be very unfortunate for the phone itself) you are going to be spending a lifetime with this phone because you would be so skeptical and pessimistic about the exposed display that you'd rarely take it out or use it roughly. Here's the thing PAL! It's an expensive piece of advanced technology and as far as durability goes,NONE of the foldable gen of smartphones has really survived because they are so delicate and in their early stages. If you are stupid enough to risk that amount of money then it's really up to you but a phone that expensive,elegant and pricey whether a Huawei or Samsung or even Motorola doesn't deserve to be treated like a normal phone.The design may be " fundamentally flawed" with your perception but admit it that it is worth the hype that has been building around the foldable phones and a milestone for Huawei company. Pretty easy for them to go all out copy the Galaxy Fold or Z Flip,for the "copycats" as most of people like you allege the company to be so the people who find this design more usable or anything positive will purchase it regardless of anything you've said.
