Sony battery care and recharge adaptative, The more the charge approaches its goal, the more it slowed down to avoid stressing the battery for a long life. Maybe Sony does not follow the competition but what it offers on its side is very useful, Xperia is more useful than tendentious.

Phone designs nowadays r too similar to be saying one company is copying another because they're all doing the same thing. Plus the Huawei has a li-po battery which is better than li-on batteries as they don't degrade fast. Again, I'm speaking as a sony phone user. I had the z1 to xz premium and sony slowly got worse.

If I remember correctly, the Xperia slows down charge at around 90%. When I had the Xperia XZ2 it had that feature to preserve the battery. I really loved that especially when I go to bed. It really slowed the charge so it can cool off. Very nice!!!

Looking forward to the Mate 30 Pro review, especially how you think it works without the Google stuff. Many other reviewers just say "No Google, it's worthless without it" without really explaining what Google things they cant be without. My hypothesis is that without Google Play, it won't auto-install the apps they use for testing and they have to do it manually which adds to the time it takes to prepare for the review. Please mention the stuff you think is hard to be without. Are there good substitutes for Maps and so?

The charger you have for the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, is using the AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND TYPE i plug, that is also used in CHINA. China is unusual in that they also use the A B and G plugs in some areas. Type i plug is unique and only found in the locations mentioned above.

Little Disclaimer. My p30 pro is running EMUI 10 CLOSED BETA !! Not rolled out yet, so there are still bugs and a few issues. Thats why i guess its charging slower and performance mode also switches on randomly. Anyhow hope you liked it !!

I always use the old 5w or 10w charger on my Mate 30 Pro if I'm not in a hurry. In my own experience with the other phone, slow charging could really extend the battery life span.

Once again I just found your channel and I love you and I subscribe them spreading the word for your channel I just want to say I love the charge test where you're going to use it because Dash charge and charge are the only charges I know that I can say that if you use it it has no effect we are as the Note 10 plus will charge faster if it's off but once it's in use it's a half-hour slower because of the bigger battery even though it has a 25-watt charge on the 40 watt charger doesn't do anything so this is a great video once again you hit it right on the perfection

Sony Xperia is doing exactly what it should be: charging up to 70% with high C-rates and then derating C-rate drastically. Because they know what is good for battery life. Good luck with Huawei battery capacity after one year.

You are 100% correct in that charging first priority should be battery life , the charging when the battery is depleted and almost fully charged is most critical. Hot ,fast charging should be avoided especially when battery is at 0% or close to full , if you must hot / high watt charge best at mid range .

I don't think Sony lagged behind anything in terms of battery or charging tech. Heck, of all these manufacturers they are the only battery manufacturer. They went the conservative route in which you don't charge too fast stressing the battery too much and hurting the battery in the long term. It's in line with what Sony does with battery care. Charging fast can be convenient but it's not necessarily better for your battery. I wonder how all these batteries are in a year time.

Every Pixel works like this. The Pixel slows charging based on your usage, heat and percentage. In other words, it smart charges. Around 80% it starts to throttle the charge speed, if it's warmer before that, it will slow down as well. If you always charge your phone for a whole night or afternoon, then it will slow charge it as well. Why? To keep the battery healthy.

I will say I think something was wrong with your cable or your plug because I've had many OnePlus is all die I'll have that Chinese instructions because it's so dead and usually in about 13 seconds I'll have 1% Max 30 seconds so definitely something is wrong and you should redo this test and kill it again but definitely the OnePlus should never do that and I've killed it and I've killed it really good and really deep I've run it really really good so that it has to be something wrong with your own so you should redo that test for sure I still think it'll come at least second if not third
