Notifications are a mess on Huawei watches! Why aren't reviewers discussing this with every new release? Grouping various notifications from different apps under "Messaging," without a unique icon or name, is terrible. I bought a Huawei Watch Fit 3 last week and had to return it because of this issue. Notifications are top priority for me when it comes to smart bands/watches. I truly don't understand why this problem isn't receiving more attention.

When you demoing the Huawei watch 4 Pro why don't turn the screen on to stay on for say 10 minutes then you don't have to keep pressing the side button. It's very distracting seeing your hand go across the screen every 10 seconds to turn on the screen. Thanks

I use a Galaxy Watch.... if I have a theme installed on my phone [P50 Pro], when I receive a notification on my watch it shows me the custom icon i use in that theme...

Yeah, unfortunately, on this watch, it only shows notifications for certain apps.

Yes, it does, I just tested it. So you can have multiple apps running at the back. If you double tap the crown, you can view them. Hope that helps.

Hello dear, I have a question regarding WhatsApp at huawei watch 4 pro, can you explain mor please about dealing with WhatsApp massages while linking it the the phone "i mean without using esim at watch" If someone sent you photo can you see it at the watch normally and reply with a photo? Hi, thank you for your comment. With regards to WhatsApp messages - on iPhone, you can see the message but no option to reply. Also, you can't view photos either. On Android phones - you can see and reply to the message from the watch, but you can't view photos. I hope this helps. All the best :)

Having the developer option means that one can sideload apps onto the watch, alter and access hidden settings. However, I'm not sure if you're able to access the developer option on the GT3 Pro, but you can on the Huawei Watch 3 and 4 Pro.

Huawei Watch 4 Pro certainly is beautiful! It depends really on your location and personal requirements. Huawei watch is not supported by google, and that means there are drawbacks. GW6C has all the specs, such as NFC payments. However, health tracking wise, it's not as good as Huawei watch. Which one did you decide to get?

On the Huawei GT4 I can completely read an Outlook email, but cannot respond back. You can also read SMS and WhatsApp messages and only respond with short answers or with icons. There is no keyboard available! I can also read news items completely. With Instagram, Facebook, KZbin, you also get the notifications with the icon and subject from which platform it came from. The GT4 seems to have improved in this respect compared to the 4 Pro..

Hi there, are you using an Apple or Android OS based phone? The Huawei Health App is quite limited on Apple phones compared to Android phones.

It works, but it is quite limited functionality wise. From my experience, notification isn't great. You can't reply to messages from notifications. No NFC payments or calendar sync, to name a few. I have published a video for Huawei Watch 4 Pro and iPhone. Do check it out for more details.

I couldn't respond to a simple sms from the watch, I couldn't set a custom ringtone, you can't upload watch faces though Huawei offers you the necessary software for it and so on...

It will work the same as WhatsApp, Twitter, etc. So, any notifications from the phone are pushed through to the watch by the Huawei Health App, providing you have your notifications enabled.

Battery life you mention is incorrect. If heart, stress, O2, temperature sensors are all ON and wifi OFF, e-sim not installed, no excersising, no messaging, no AOD, and very limiting use of the watch the max. is 2 days !!!! There is an irritating lag of almost 2 seconds, the curved screen gives irritating reflections and in general the watch reacts slow. Moreover there is no NFC, ECG, e-sim support and blood sugar functions in The Netherlands.

Looks like your experience has really been poor - perhaps it's possible you may have a faulty unit. I'm not sure how the same watch can be this much apart as I've been extensively testing the device and also had all the above on with AOD, too.

You get notifications from the apps on your watch, but there are no apps for the watch, so you have to sideload APKs. Did you get the titanium or leather strap one?
