Whats better compared to the two, GT5 pro and D2 when it comes to ECG reading? I have the first D model and the airbag is excellent in checking heart stats. The D2 also has the airbag but since the GT5pro also has a ECG function but no airbag, would be be in par with he dedicated heart monitoring like the D model?

mhh, the certificate you show at 1:10 refers to the ECG app and not the blood pressure monitor mentioned in the video. Please check EUDAMED for the correct certificate. In HUAWEI's ECG app manual, accuracy between 94 and 95% is stated. However, this seems to be tested with the GT2 Pro-Series. It would be interesting to know, how the metrics such as accuracy, sensitivity and precision etc. are for huawei watch D and D2. Did you find information on that? Also, can the watch do continuous ECG-monitoring?

To calibrate the Samsung Watch 6 Classic for blood pressure, you must have one of these blood pressure machines and record and calibrate your testing with it on and also the watch on, taking both readings at the same time. Starting on the left arm with the monitor and watch on your wrist, you proceed by doing three simultaneous tests and entering the reading from the BPM machine into the Samsung watch's calibration setting three times. Repeat this process for the right arm with the watch on your right wrist and the machine on your upper right arm, and continue for three further test readings for calibration. It's a process to go through, but once it's calibrated alongside the actual BPM monitor airbag, it's set and gives 100% accuracy readings from then on, on its own! I'm still thinking about whether I should get the Ultra yet, but I like this D2 because it's a carbon copy of an Apple Watch, which I can't get since I'm on Android! So, it might be a way to get that watch design without it being Apple!

Very well-done video. I'm loving mine so far. It's very light. My last watch was the original Galaxy watch from 2018 and I'm almost never wore it. This is in a completely different realm. The only things I wish is that the ECG was continuous and that it measured blood sugar levels, but maybe for the D3 :-). I also don't completely understand the ABPM function because I don't think it's realistic to be able to sit down in time throughout the day within 8 seconds and let it do it's test, not to mention I can't imagine sleeping with something squeezing my wrist throughout the night. I would think then I would get a bad sleep score which would increase risks to my heart lol. Since I have very good blood pressure, I'm guessing this function isn't meant for my use case, but I'm not sure since I don't completely understand in what circumstances someone should be doing this....or how they could even realistically do it.

The ABPM function is for serious hypertension patients (eg. old folks with serious hypertension). The measurements are not ideal but it does provide rich reference data for the doctor to have a better diagnosis and monitoring.

I am guessing it's better as it's the only watch that's actually an approved medical device. My Galaxy Watch 5 Pro was awfully inaccurate for BP. The newer ones are apparently slightly better. I only got my D2 today so it hasn't really been tested by me, but reviews rate it highly for accuracy.

I don't know if this would be better than the Samsung Watch 7 Ultra now, as I need to upgrade. I've always liked the Apple Watch design. I just wish Samsung went back to the first Gear S square curved screen! But here's the thing with Google's new Play Protection, which is set to roll out in a couple of days in the new One UI: you cannot sideload apps or download from unknown sources; only the Play Store is allowed. So I would think that would make Huawei smartwatches obsolete for use with Android.

I am very interested in this Huawei Watch D2 because I am being monitored for hypertension and sleep apnea, but I have a big question regarding the integration with Apple Health. I am currently an Apple Watch 7 user and I also use the Fitness and Health apps, especially the latter to extract blood pressure data that syncs with my Withings blood pressure monitor. I got this at release as im... sligthly hypochondriac and i do lot of bad shit for my heart. I find that the accuracy is on-par with medical devices , very easy to use, has everything(except payment@europe) that i need. Additionally, even without a working NFC payment solution, the battery can last incredibly long, if i put it into DND mode(= screen doesnt auto wake up) it drains like 1% a day!! I don't like AOD so i never used it so i cant say how long that would last, but the way i use it its easy 2+ weeks per charge.
