Huawei Watch GT 4 review | A better buy than Apple Watch S9

Huawei makes excellent smartwatches. If you want to track your sleep for example; you can't with the Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch or Google Pixel Watch, as in the morning your battery is literally dead ! Why have tech that you have to think about battery all the time. For the price, design and build quality, I'll certainly buy Huawei smartwatches again.

Don't forget they also connect to your Bluetooth heart rate monitor for extreme accuracy when exercising vigorously.

Right? I have but don't wear a Samsung Galaxy 2 watch because I got sick of having to charge the thing everyday and being more stressed of it conking out on me versus my smartphone. That is not progress but this watch I may consider as I love gadgets

I think you just explained in the best way , the reason all the wear os/ios smartwatches are a badly design product, in my opinion. They are designed so that you can interact a lot with them but they don't have the essential feature to allow you to do so and that's battery life . After having a Ticwatch 3 pro ultra for 3 years I gave it away to get this . FINALLY!!!! I don't have to charge one more device every day. Oh and also I dont' have to think what feature i need to disable in order to make it last a bit longer

There are literally dozens and dozens of reviews on this watch that brush the surface and all they talk about is texting capabilities and watch-faces. This one is giving a lot of information that others wouldn't bother to check out.

You can actually both control the music on your phone and have mp3 music files saved moved to the watch, but I think both are not supported on IOS

I have the gt 3 elite looks and feels fantastic, i have all the sensors on all notifications and heart rate tracking ect ect everything on sleep with it on it will easily do 5 days with at least an hour of gps exercise tracking each day!

You can't just assume the garmin is more accurate you need to use a reference sensor like a polar tracker. Huawei is the only tracked that approaches the apple watch for exercises.

Huawei watches are nice looking, but the features are more and less the same on their smart band for a quarter of the price and the fitness features have been the same for way too long. Some hrv tracking features would go a long way.

When you say with the larger model on the battery life, do you mean the Huawei watch 4 pro or the simpe one?

I got different results when it comes to battery life. While it is magnificent compared with the competition, I managed to get 7-8 days battery life with ONLY sleep tracking enabled. Everything else was disabled. I got 14 days battery life only when I switched off everything, including the sleep tracking. You CANNOT get 14 days battery life with regular use.

Did the heart rate monitor show any readings below 40bpm at any time? My 6 week old GT3 Pro shows around 37bpm at least 5 times per day whether I'm walking or resting, my borrowed Polar H10 shows nothing similar, the lowest being 49bpm, it's been back to Huawei twice. I'm thinking of going for the GT4 to fix the problem as other than this it's brilliant.

Have you noticed a lot of disconnection between the watch and the mobile if you get too far between them? and in case of disconnection. Does it automatically reconnect between them or do you have to do it manually? And finally the issue of ringing the phone from the clock to see where I left it works or is it necessary to have the Health app open in the background? THANK YOU!

Definitely no sapphire crystal in there. First, they would have definitely mentioned it for marketing purposes. Second, I bought a Gt4 after owning a GT2 Pro for 6 months. I got the GT4 scratched in less than a week. It irritated me a lot because I am extremely cautious to the point that my girlfriend gets jealous of my phone/watch/laptop/etc.

I had the GT2 pro with so many free watch faces but i recently got the GT4 watch and now this option is gone, when i go to the app on my phone and check the watch faces nothing comes up, I can only see the paid faces and there isnt an option for free, why is this? how can it be fixed?

This is the Huawei Health app latest update that is responsible. I had the GT2 Pro and recently got the GT4 and faced the same exact issue. I was very annoyed after paying what I consider a decent amount of money for the GT4. The app removed the "free faces" icon, but you can still find many free faces, it is just a lot more difficult. The only reason I can find for such a ridiculous change is to make us buy. Hiding the free ones will probably make us more willing to buy those faces.

Nope. Battery life & heart rate tracking is better than Samsung, and that is the only advantage they have over Samsung in my opinion. Depends on you're use case as to which watch is better.

Had the 1st GT model for 4/5 yrs and it’s been brilliant. Just got the black GT4 and wow it is superb in every single department. 2 wks battery and you can use it to make & receive calls which are good quality 📔

From the Strava help forum - To connect Huawei Health with Strava: Open the Huawei Health app, go to the Me tab, and tap Privacy Management. Scroll down and tap Data Sharing and Authorization. Tap the Strava option on the next screen. Tap Connect with Strava and sign into your Strava account. Select Authorize on the next screen to connect Huawei Health with Strava. Once it is connected, you should see a success message.

Can you tell me why my echo show 8 plays my KZbin music list but it continuously wants to show me the list and not the video, the video is playing but it's at the top of the list and the echo show is just showing me what is next to play, I would like the video to be on the display, like it was about 6 weeks ago, please.
