Review of Huben hand pump. I forgot to mention an important feature of the; it is possible to pump with it up to 350 Bars (5000 PSI), that means you can fill K1 to its maximum working pressure.

pumps are still a winner in my opinion you can pump ur gun air\tank in the field and carry it around with no issues the best sulotion for this pump is use a tiny air tank for your air gun so just 4-6 shots are enough and you pump it again a few times and ur gun is ready to shoot again

Good Video! Nice Pump... A Great Add To Any PCP Collection... Im sure its worth the price when compared to other pumps AND the fact that its so Portable, User Friendly, and most of all can Fill The Huben all the way up to the Max... A feat that very few, if any other PCP/HPA HandPumps at all can accomplish. So that alone makes it worth the sales ticket when comparing. If in the U.S. Where would you suggest would be the best place to pick up one of those pumps?... Hopefully +MrodAir+ will have them avalible at some point... Cheers... Have a Good One!

I would like to see it used on a 225 bar fill. Since the hand pump is capable if 5000 psi i wonder if it would refill 225 bar air tanks fairly fast from 125psi to 225psi.
@gregorkamensek39234 жыл бұрын
I assume you made a mistake on the last two PSI units. This pump is quite fast and I would say optimized for the pressures form 100 - 250 bars. From 250 bars on, it it quite hard to pump, you have to be quite strong. It is actually faster (faster also means harder) than my other pump (I do not know the brand).

G'day Gregor, You're right, the pump looks well made. So, if you don't use this pump everyday, which compressor do you like best and importantly, which is the most reliable? At the moment I use an FX hand pump but my own PCP's hold around 650cc of air and it's quite difficult for an old man like me. LOL
@gregorkamensek39233 жыл бұрын
i use to fill at my friends that has Coltri compressor and now I have my own MHC-6 Coltri compressor. It is not cheap but it works perfectly reliable and it is fast compared to the cheap compressors. This is the same compressor as Daystate (Daystate just rebrands it)...

Is that a 1/8 foster fitting? I would think that the exercise would be good for anyone. If everyone used a hand pump for every fill, in a couple of months they would look like a body builder, and those heavier guns wouldn't seem so heavy anymore.

Hello Gregor. I just bought the GK1. My compressor will only fill to 310 bar. I was going to hand pump the remainder 350 bar. Is there any other hand pump option to do this? I would love to buy the Huben hand pump but $350 is just too much right now
@gregorkamensek3923 Жыл бұрын
There is no need to go all the way to 350. That is just the max working pressure allowed but the gun works with anything above the regulator... I never fill k1 to more than 300 bars either for the same reason. You will also not get that many more shots as the air gets less compressible at those pressures... I don't know of any other pump that would go higher, at least not on paper, in reality, I am sure that many go that far but it also is very heavy to pump and wears the seals much faster...

Okay nevermind, i counted the strokes and did some calculations and it would take around 80 strokes to pump up the GK1 from 100 to 300 bar

@@Harolddespui Yea, that sound about right. Regarding how hard it is, I would say that it definitely is not for everyone. Hi Gregor! Great video! Did your pump come with a manual? I ordered mine new from my regional distributor but there was no manual In the package. Also when you pump, your pressure lightly and gradually climbs, mine goes over 400bar every stroke and the drops to about 50bar above the pressure in my k1. How can this be? Did you put a seal ring between the fill plug and the hose? Which type?
@gregorkamensek39235 жыл бұрын
Hi. My pump was given to me by Huben at IWA 2018 without any package or manual... Mine works OK (no pressure fluctuation as you mentioned) however you are not the first person who had this question. Mine came with the hose attached so I do not know what seal it it used.

@tacticalbantha25112 жыл бұрын
@@manny35000 I eventually found a seal in the bag that was supplied with the pump that fit the hose attachment. Also the pressure rise has to do with the cracking pressure of the non-return valve in the air gun's cylinder. Haven't found a manual for the pump though but I didn't look any further because i went ahead and bought me a small compressor and a 12ltr 300bar scuba tank.

@@gregorkamensek3923 On that topic I was thinking about the same thing for the Huben GK1 pistol. Do you think it will be that hard to go from 300 to 350 bars on that pistol? @gregorkamensek39234 жыл бұрын
Hi. I don't think there is any danger that the hose of the pump (or anything else) would explode, bigger problem will be that it will be extremely hard to pup and also, frequent pumping over max. pressure will cause the pump to wear much faster...

@@gregorkamensek3923 ok greg thank u for advice. i will just try and replace the guage to 5k psi of the pump. i saw ur video tips for adjusting the regulator ang power wheel for rhe desire velocity of each pellets. as u said first is to turn fully open the power wheel before adjusting regulator. so how about on regulator adjust? in what way should i start ? fully open the regulator or start from very lower?
@gregorkamensek39234 жыл бұрын
@@aerialshootwonderboy919 It depends. If you will shoot pellet, then you can start with low pressure, but if you will shoot slugs then start from high pressure and go down... This is to prevent jams. Also, if you have the wheel fully opened and have low pressure (and shooting heavy pellets / slugs), you might experience an effect where the gun dumps a big amount of air... Here are few pressure setting to start with regarding pellets: JSB Jumbo Heavy - 110 - 120 bar; JSB Jumbo Monster Redesign - 130 - 140 bar; JSB Beast - 150 - 160 bar; slugs over 170 bar... You can go down with pressure if you see the need, but generally efficiency is higher at higher pressures and this will be important for you since you are using hand pump. Accuracy is usually best at the point explained by the video.

@@gregorkamensek3923 wow really apreciate and thank u for the note u give me regarding pellets .. in philippines usualy its pellets we use i never seen anybody selling slug so i will just fucos on pellets. anyway i copy ur note. and yes i will start always on the powerwheel fully open and the regulator start spinning from high yo low to find the accurate and longrange shooting. thank u greg for keep in touch. gdblez

They're all so inefficient its almost a crime to European tech 😆 people dont bring them to the range so forget about them being easy to carry.. I keep imagining a long tube with a huge plunger on a thread that compresses the air..a motor turning the bolt moving the plunger....like a scaled up really cheap basic bike hand pump design...also a large steel box/tank that you ignite a small explosion to instantly pressure the tank..like an air bag..just inside a tank with a filter obviously.. I was wrong about that gun i mentioned the other week it actually EXISTS ! I was so happy when i found it 😆...hatsan make a multi shot underlever..its not quite the precision of a hw97k but its faaar better then the gamo multi shot...neither of us knew it existed even tho we both watch gun channels a lot ! 🙂👍👍
