@@Thorstevens1 Indeed. His interpretation of Stravinsky's "Rites of Spring", on his album by the same name, is beyond marvelous. The album, released in the 70s I think, is, like the original composition, timeless.

I learned to emphasize tone and realize a good flutist doesn't correlate with playing so many notes at once. Hubert taught me the importance of empty space as you climb the energetic release of stair-stepping octaves with a flourish .

I heard about this tune from an avid jazz follower awhile back...and here it is years later I am now having the pleasure of listening to it...and Admittedly I'm saying, where have I been ...it's a tune that immediately has your attention: it's a light rhythmic but not imposing tune yet evocative and surely earns its title...The Land of Passion... thanks sir....peace
