How do you get the Add Room, Add Device, and Add App buttons at that top right on the Home page? I do not see that on the new update.

What happened to the geofencing? My presence sensing stopped working, and I can't find the settings.

So this video shows that the changes seem to work nicely on a pc screen, but I am NOT enjoying the experience on my phone.

You should really update the how to videos, most of them are over a year old, the average being 4 years !

I received a new Hubitat for Christmas. Can I transfer everything from the old Hubitat I'm using, or do I need to start over?

Yes you can and its easy. There are many tutorials about it

I put my Hubitat hub in a drawer because Hubitat seems to ignore the existence of Aqara devices. Has that changed any? I think Hubitat is much easier to use than my current Home Assistant, but at least with Home Assistant my Aqara devices work.

My aqara things work fluently in hubitat. You need to add the aqara hub as a Matter hub, then you will see your things as childs of the aqara hub.

@@philipperostin I will give that a try. I was trying to use them directly like I do in Home Assistant, but it didn't work for me in Hubitat nearly as well.

@GarNelson1 why in hell would you need home assistant ? To loose time and familly ?

I run several Aqara motion, contact, temperature, and water leak sensors directly through Hubitat without the Aqara hub using the "Xiaomi Aqara Mijia Sensors and Switches" driver. You can find the driver at the Hubitat Community forum by searching for - xiaomi-aqara-mijia-sensors-and-switches. I also use the Aqara Cube (one of my favorite devices) with the Aqara Cube T1 Pro driver for Hubitat, which I found at the Hubitat Community forum.

@@philipperostin It has a steep learning curve but once you understand how it works, its fantastic. I use the two systems together and working as a pair, Hubitat and HA makes for a very solid and flexible smart home system.

More menus to get lost in and forget where a setting is configured. Fix the bugs first. Protect the database(s) so a hard crash doesn’t brick the hub. Implement procedures to prevent misbehaving devices from negatively affecting the rest of the system.
