Hubsan Zino Pro Plus First Flight and Review

Marcus..... Great video. I own the Hubsan Zino Pro...what's the difference between the pro and the pro +? Haven't heard of the Pro+ . My Zino pro arrived with a 3000mAh battery and i'ver slow purchased a 4200mAh battery that fits in the Zino Pro. The larger battery offers extended flight range. Can you provide a link to the Zino Pro + specs.

Hi Marcus, not sure if you will see this post as it is 2023, but after owning this drone how have your batteries held up? I bought my Zino pro plus about 1 year ago and the original Hubsan batteries did not last very long, after about 6 months, flying 2 time per month, the batteries (2) both would only get around 12 mins flight time to 30% charge. I did store at a 50% charge and kept them at room temperature.I then bought another Hubsan battery and had the same results :( So about 2 months ago I bought an after market battery on Amazon, it was a CIFI Power that had 6500 battery. So far this battery has been great, I have flow 4 times and at 50% life I get 20 min, and at 30% I get 28 min. I dont fly below 30% as its bad for the battery. Hopefully I will get the same results in 6 months.

Hubsan batteries do struggle. I've had a few go bad. I have not flown the Zino in quite a while.

Ha.. Ha.. Ha... As you said.. "It's a Zino" ! Nice and quiet though. But it's not competitively priced. At current pricing the Mimi2 is by far a better craft. I will give Hubsan credit... They are beating this Zino line to death. I'm interested in where the Humla Forest Drone is coming in development with their propellerless propulsion system. Great review Marcus 👍 👍

How hard was it to get your drone pilot license? what are the recording/logging requirements for each flight? I'm assuming that you are a licensed drone pilot because you went way beyond the 400' range limit for unlicensed drone flights. I want to get licensed, just wondering how hard and what paperwork involved to fly. Good review of the Zino, just what I was looking for. Thnx

You can get your Drone registration at the FAA drone zone. 👍 As for 400 ft, that is the max height you are allowed.

Nice Beanie! Problem with Zino gimbal is that it hangs on four rubber dampers which is prone to vibration and jello something the 3 axis gimbal cannot stabilise in flight hence a "shimmering" (desert mirage like) effect. Other drones have a two top dampers and two side dampers which work better and means the gimbal doesn't just dangle. Also flight dynamics on Hubsan has always been poor ... But all told it's the price point as a beginner drone which gets it over the top. Its only those of us that have moved on or remained in the hobby that realise its faults.

Based on your live the other day on Drone Nation I agree the photos and video on my Zino Pro seem 'soft' for lack of a better term I have area of sharpness and areas of softness. My 2.7k Mini runs circles around this camera. These things can be such a pain to update the firmware on that I haven't updated mine since I got it but I can still fly though. Most likely wont fix the camera though.

I know this from my Hubsan Pro but this issue appeared first after 20, 30 flights or so ... full gimbal calibration with the tool didn't help. One of the problems that me forced to move to DJI

I think only DJI, Xiaomi/Fimi and Hubsan can provide a really good/top Video and Picture quality for a good price (max. 500€). On my shortlis are the Fimi X8 SE 2020 (my Favorit), the Hubsan Zino 2 plus and the DJI Mini 2 (all other DJI Drones are to expensive (imo)).

I'm just curious if the phone is the one connecting to the drone? So do you need 5ghz wifi or is the connection to the drone through the controller? I have the H501SS and it doesn't have a phone connection at all, just the controller.

No, the mobile device is connected to the controller via an OTG cable. Only the controller is connected wirelessly to the drone. 👍

Looks good to me. So this is somewhere between the Zino Pro and the Zino 2? That tilted horizon t reminds me of the Fimi. That's cool there was a FPV drone flying around. Congrats on reaching 9k subs! I'm almost there. You flew right past me :) I have to get away from these toy drones. No one cares about them anymore. Getting 40-70 views on the first day is depressing. The novelty of these toys have worn off. Bryan is dealing with similar problems on his channel.

Hey Marcus, As usual, great video. Being relatively new to drones, I was wondering if you might help. I have a Zino Pro. Everytime I download the videos from my SD card to my computer, I always get two of each video recording I've taken that day on the computer screen. Is this normal? Also, the longest video recording is 9:31. Anything over that, the video is split into two separate videos (or 4 videos on my screen). Any ideas? Thanks.

Thank you Julio. The AB files are thumbnails. I usually just delete them. The AA files are the ones to keep. It is normal for the drone to split up the video files. 👍

@@theartofflying3108 Depends on the triangulation of the drone from your position. The higher the drone the less horizontal distance it can cover. Additionally, reception quality will limit distance depending on how much signal obstruction there is (i.e. building, pylons). You can always get hyperbolic boosters to increase signal strength and max horizontal distance from you.

Why didn't you go ahead and calibrate everything? Pretty sure it would've flown better than that. As an influencer you just made the quad look worse than it probably is also the fpv was weird.... I've seen many videos of several Hubsan drones and the fpv never looked that bad.

I have purchased a Hubsan Zino Pro and received last week, I don't know yet how good it will fly but I have had problems with the company not sending all of the Items that I have paid for and showing on my invoice as well as the Advertisement page, what are missing from my delivery is. 2 drone batteries, 1 cigarette charger, 1 extra bag of prop, and 1 drone carry bag, they are just ignoring all of the evidence with photos, They just don't care what you say or prove, I could not possibly recommend Hubsan for they customer service, I do not trust them.
