Thanks for more Zino video The app features are awesome. Hubsan just posted a notice on their website saying the Android version of the X-Hubsan app for Zino should be ready for download on Nov 15. You guys are the talk of the drone video community with these Zino videos. Best wishes to Amelia!

Just got it today and returned the dji spark and as of one day Inpressed. Using the samsung galaxy s9. Nate you convinced me to get it. Thanks you. Hubsan is a great drone for the lower price with 9/10 features of dji. In fact I love it as much as dji spark but better as if day one using both drones. Please make sure you learn how to fly with a cheaper sub 200 which is a good idea. Only speaking for myself I started off with dji phantom 3 as my first and my inexperience caused me to break the camera

Very friendly and down to earth natured review. Bought the zino pro about 5days ago but the wind in the uk has been awful with the two recent storms so haven't been able to fly it yet. Today two and half hours to sunrise and I hear no wind so today looks to be the day :)

WOW! All I have to say is WOW! I have owned the H501S advanced, and I was sooo happy with this drone but sold it later on due to the lack of gimbal. That was the only drawback. It flew so well, always returned home, etc. I had always wondered how hard it would be for hubsan to design a new drone of the same size with the h501S but with gimbal stabilization and here it is!!!! I am definately getting this, I am not going to say that its a mavic killer, because its not, but it will for sure make many dji sparks stay on the shelf and not be sold!!! Also, it will definately knock over the "king" of value for money drones, the xiaomi 4K drone! The compass "issue" of having to calibrate everytime before each flight, even in the same field after changing battery never bothered me with the h501s btw

Two questions: 1) What is the resolution for photos? 2) Can you run 1080p at higher fps? How high?
@gelisob6 жыл бұрын
Would also like to know the photo resolution. And can you take only JPG images or RAW also? I can not find any information about the camera and sensor specs, only that it produces 4k video.. weird. Also would like to know how much the video recording affects battery life, is it noticeably longer if you just fly around with FPV and take pictures?
@pietgerrits906 жыл бұрын
I would love to know this as well. Also I would also like to know if there is the function to take automatic photos every few seconds. It is a function available on more expensive drones like the DJI drones and Parrot Anafi.

Did you find the answer? I've preordered but can't find this info anywhere.
@tornatotato916 жыл бұрын
Yes please do tell if anyone finds out I've been looking but no results interested as I am tempted to buy a parot2 or a spark but I'd take this instead that battery price alone is insane!
@connecticutaggie6 жыл бұрын
I found out from another review that the photos are just 4K screen captures. I believe this drone has potential; but, it seems to be very limited at present. For me, only being able to do 4K-30fps was a deal killer and means it is definitely not Spark Killer (yet). I saw a Parrot Bebop 2 on Black Friday sale for $250 and got that. It isn't 4K; but, it has a 1080P and a 14MP camera which is comparable to a Spark at nearly 1/2 the price. Oh, ... and the Parrot will work with my Android phone and the deal includes FPV goggles.

As an owner of both Hubsan and DJI products, I’m very proud of Hubsan on this one! Finally someone has a real competitor for DJI. The control screen looks and feels very reminiscent of the Go 4 app!
@GorillamansGarage6 жыл бұрын
Great job... The App looks similar to the X-Hubsan App (H216a). The panorama shot was a little jerky. I wonder if the rotation speeds can be adjusted in settings. The camera settings would be interesting. Maybe on a calmer day the camera will perform better. I ordered the 2 battery package... ships out Nov.20th. If it competes with the Bebop 2, then I will be happy. It would appear that battery life will probably average out over time to just shy of 20 minutes. Looks good. Can't wait.

Wow hubsan just came to kill DJI, this is a steal of a drone, I'm definitely getting one of these and you can buy 2 batteries for the same price of one DJI battery, i asked my wife for a mavic for Christmas, but I'm definitely asking for this instead, there's no need to spend 1,200 dollars anymore.

Since this doesn't have any optical sensors or precision landing, I wouldn't mind seeing or hearing from you guys on how accurate or far oof it's RTH is. I know the DJI Mavic/Air/Spark and Autel Evo are pretty dead-on. Would be nice to compare with something that is in Spark price point but without additional sensors and only using GPS. Love the reviews you're doing of this to show other options for people who don't want to have forced updates or forced NFZ etc. on them.

This drone really looks like a winner. Has all the features you want, and not all the gimmicky ones DJI has that no one uses (except maybe a few "selfie" drone people.) The only thing I can see missing in the app is EXP and END POINT settings for the gimbal. I'm guessing there are at least EXP and maybe END POINT settings in the joystick preferences, so you could smooth out the yaw. One of the main things I practice in RealFlight sim is smooth yaw and manual point of interest orbiting which helps me a lot with smooth thumb control when I fly for real. -- My buddy that got me into drones has always calibrated for "every flight", even at the same location with a battery change. So I just kinda got in the habit of doing it too, it only takes a minute.

Thanks so much, for braving the weather & providing this great content, my friends! Take great care! JP

This looks like an incredibly awesome drone! Over 20min flight time with a $30 battery...wow. I may have to pick one of these up. That said I just finished my 102 flight with my spark last week, without a single issue. I had it in 20mph winds and it just sat there videoing and flying doing whatever it wanted. I bet this zino just as capable.

Hey guys great video. waiting my shipment. Next question... DISTANCE! If it's only a WiFi app, is that going to limit the distance ? I'm doing regular recordings 1 to 2k away from me and I'm wondering if it'll stay connected. Please review that !
@TheRcSaylors6 жыл бұрын
Great Question Rick :-) So, in our previous flight video we flew away about 300 meters (according to the app) which is close to 1/5 of a mile or nearly 1,000 feet. At that distance we could barely see orientation of the drone, which is Far Enough for us, and anyone flying honestly. We strongly abide by AMA and FAA flight rules and regulations, and will never break the Line Of Sight flight rule on our channel. We HIGHLY recommend that you and anyone watching fly with the same safety precautions, but of course want everyone to enjoy flying as much as possible. Fly Safely, and Have Fun!

Another Great video Nate and Abby. I know this is like the 3rd video on one drone but I would like to see one more with camera settings on the Zino and a side by side video comparison to the closest competition the Spark, I know it’s only 1080p but most of us can’t edit in 4K or like my self have nothing to view 4K on. I am very close to ordering one with 2 extra batteries. $30 is nuts! Even a Spark Battery is twice that much and is only good for 12 or 13 minutes. So far it looks like the camera does measure up and the app looks pretty good too but will probably go through some updates being so new and Hubsan’s first app based drone. The Gps looks solid, on your screen recording you had 18 satellites, no surprise though, Hubsan has had a few years to get the gps and flight controller aspects of their drones perfected. You guys are the first to review the Zino. Hubsan should give you one the give away for that! I value your opinions and recommendations. I’ve bought 3 drones from your say so. 😎

The size comparison still makes me love my spark! I will bet we will have a spark pro. The smartree case is exceptional and easily fits into my backpack. Also have the smartree portable charger (LiPo). This is wonderful. I can get 6 to 8 battery charges (depending on the discharge of the batteries) in the field, as fast as the wall charger. And it is only $70. It is like getting 6 spark batteries for $70. A great investment, as I do real estate and landscaping pictures. You should get one of these an review! Thanks for all your great videos.
@gelisob6 жыл бұрын
What about the size comparison made you "still love spark"? That spark tiny bit shorter but wider and with more exposed props so harder to pack and cant handle as much wind when deployed and makes more noise? I'm confused :)
@bryanbryant99626 жыл бұрын
"Also have the smartree portable charger (LiPo)." Omit the r (smatree). Thanks for this tip. I was unaware of this charger. I noticed Smatree makes a variety of interesting chargers for various purposes. tinyurl.com/ycxg6vvr
@jazzukes6 жыл бұрын
gelisob It is more than just the drone that you need to pack. The spark batteries, charger, transmitter, everything needs to be packaged.
@jazzukes6 жыл бұрын
gelisob it is more than just the multi copter that Hass to be packaged. The spark, the batteries, the charger, the total package is how I would look at the size comparison. As for wind issues, I rarely challenge high winds with any of my platforms.

Thanks so much JohnR :-) We are happy to test anything people are asking about, but we won't push our flight distance further than we can see Line Of Sight (LoS) as we very strictly fly by AMA regulations. I found a Cannon camera bag (brand new!!) at a thrift store for about $5 and the drone, batteries, cables, filters, extra props etc. all fit just fine. Next thing, the camera looks about the same size as the Spark / Mavic Air -- wondering if the filters for those drones might fit?...

Can you change the distance from meters to feet/yards? I have to say I'm impressed. The price isn't bad for it either. Good day Abby and Nate. Been watching your videos (specifically drone related) for a while now and really appreciate your efforts in sharing accurate and helpful information. This Zino could be quite a shaker in the drone market, I reckon parrot Anafi's and sparks, mavic air's and pro's might get a little more shelf time because of this drone? One question/ request... Would you be able to compare photo quality (resolution?) / video quality of the zino to the competition? I have a mavic pro so I don't think I will be getting one of these, but am recommending it to everyone I know that might want a good hobby drone without spending a little fortune. Also,I wonder what kind of range we should expect in a CE region.... Thanks again for the vids, keep em coming;) Cheers, Oliver

Hi Nate, Amelia and the adorable Popeye. Thanks for reviewing the Zimo. I'm new to drones. I bought 2 Syma X-11C's for my grandson and me last Christmas and I could not get him interested and they just sat in their boxes. I became very interested recently watching some aerial video (drone) clips of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR shot by roger hogan. (That is some gorgeous scenery on the Colo. - N. Mex. state lines, near Chama, CO.) After studying the drone market I became discouraged with the costs of the dji's - an acquaintance had - would you believe several Mavics - including an Inspire. I started learning how to fly with the X-11C (and took the camera out). I am continuing with an X-5C-1 I picked up. Meanwhile Dustin Dunnill got me further interested watching 3 or 4 reviews of the the Xiaomi Mi 4K Drone. That seemed a whole lot of drone for the money. I had not found much competition (price/performance) for the Xiaomi until I saw your reviews of the Zimo. Thanks again, nicely done.

❤nice drone, mine only fly's for about 8 mins which is just not long enough, I like drone but should fly for 25 mins or you can't fully test features, so I guess will have to return it

Most of the app seems to work and work well. There is still stuff that needs to be finalised and the android version is still not ready, so, again, I'm not rushing to pre-order
