It's hard not to be angry at them. I wonder if there is someone you could speak to there about that employee. I collect jewellery here in Australia and am only just learning different makers. I have always just bought what I think is pretty and feels quality. As a result I have loads of unsigned Simpson and Jewel Crest Brooches plus many signed. They are beautiful. I aspire to one day have a Sherman piece. Those brooches are amazing. I recently found a copy of the Trifari penguin Jelly Belly brooch. My heart skipped a beat when I saw it lol. I love your shopping videos, I wish our shops had jewellery stands like yours.

Dawn. From now on you must pay as soon as you choose. It’s happened once it can happen again. I know a bit about costume jewellery and when I am in the charity shop and say I want to buy some jewellery they ask me if it’s something special they missed because they know I kind of know about good brands, especially vintage. My feeling is they know you know about the good stuff. Going forward just buy it there and then😊

Need to add how super it is to go shopping with you! It's wonderful to inhale your enthusiasm as you spot something that might be a "find." It also amazes me how you can scrunch something in your hand and tell straight off whether or not it's a quality piece. And, by the way, you were definitely rocking it in that magenta blouse. Thank you so much for this video, Dawn, It brought back two sweet memories. First would be the cash register bank. I was born in 1944 (I know, I know… I'm an old broad) and remember having that very bank as a child. Second is the year 2000 globe. I was an Official Confetti Thrower in Times Square that year. We started work in the afternoon and, as the new year came to different parts of the world, the confetti came in different forms. China of course had pink paper that looked like cherry blossoms and Australia's confetti looked like boomerangs of all things! Somewhere in my attic should be some samples of the various confetti, my Official Confetti Thrower pass, and a Year 2000 sweatshirt a friend gave to me that was too small to wear. Thanks again.

I love shopping vicariously with you Dawn. I love the jewelry but it’s great when you wonder around with your usual enthusiasm for all things special in this world. The crystal box is, I believe, a powder box. My aunt gave me one very much like it, making me feel so grown up as a kid. Someone broke it on me & it’s nice to see again. Please, please keep the Macys ornament for yourself. It’s not just for Christmas- you could get a nice stand for it to hang on & it could be as a part of a tableau. And if you get sick of it, the price will only continue to rise (just like jewelry). Oh, and what fun that Cash Register is. My grandfather had one that was beat up from all the kids & then their kids playing with it. Such a nostalgic blast from my past. Thanks for the memories. 💜 🦋

Do not say those are good. Do not comment on the qualify of the jewelry. Some places will think you know too much and think you are trying to get over. You are not there too give a lesson. Just say what you want. You are letting them know what to keep for them self. You do not have to let them know why you do not want something...which is a Insult. It's okay to talk and be friendly without a lesson or talk about the flaws due to why you do not want something.

These ladies did you dirty 😢 something similar happened to me at a Goodwill I used to go 3 times a week to find big luxury brands on clothes, Jewelry, bags, sunglasses both modern and vintage, that year was good, I was scouting hunting and scoring big I guess the manager and her friend caught up with my luck and knowledge specially in clothing and accessories anyway 3 times in a row in different days when I was going to pay they acted as the clothing had the wrong prices but only the highest end luxury ones, I said I can wait they tried to made me wait longer or they will triple the price so I could be discouraged to buy, the last time one sweet older employee told me what they were doing to me and other good customers with good scores 😢well they got fired little later but after COVID prices got ridiculous there. That's one of my many thrift stories 😂

Our Charity shops in the UK are to expensive and have become very greedy, i understand it is for Charity but at the end of the day all there items are donated. There is one i love where they are not greedy and they price low to sell quickly so thkngs are not hanging round for weeks. I donate lots to them because i think they deserve it and it is the most popular charity shop in town. Enjoyed your video and love to go shopping with you. 💐

Hello! I know this is not a recent video but, it's new to me! I just wondered if you know that if you put a candle in you fridge freezer that(even in glass or crystal) needs to be cleaned out it,will freeze and pop out with ease??!!you do not need to run it under water and Never do that because it will crack! Just leave it on the counter and when you can spin it around with a knife in it press to cut in half if it's a large candle ,r

Sorry ❤! Large candle in half or in 3 pieces,small ones just in half the pop right out! No scraping,digging it out,ton of hot water! But afterwards I use a bit of Dawn dish soap an hot water,washes squeeky clean and shiny😊! Take care kiddo and remember to always trim your wicks and put on a lid when your not burning it to save the scent! 😊

Bummer about the things you didn't get. Had something similar happen to me a few years ago at Goodwill, only I paid for my jewelry and it never made it into my bag. They did refund me, but I would have MUCH rather had the items I paid for. Oh well. I ADORE the 3-strand gemstone necklace and the ones with dangles that you thought might be CP/Relios.

I just love love love when you find something with no markings but you recognized it is well made even with out. And that you recognize value and beauty of vintage Monet. I am bing watching your videos to find some of what I have. I have what I think is white moonstone set in a very dark metal and a set, necklace ring bracelet earrings of what I think is gold sandstone and a broach and earrings of mystery stones and just so much old cameos, bake light, old costume jewelry that might be something and all moms Monet necklaces and clamp ons earrings and I will just keep watching to see if you come across anything similar so I can identify it. I have this 6 strand very long necklace made of blue something but too blue for turquoise but very cool so I'm curious. Another long necklace of what I know now is jade thanks to you. Strings of probably not cultured pearls but knotted and beautiful clasps that I'm not so upset about now because I see you gloat over beautiful well made pieces.

I loved this jewellery haul, and the other beautiful items you found. The amathyst crystal earings are stunning and the white drop earings. I also love all the crystal jewellery. You have such a good eye for beautiful jewellery. I am mad on your behalf that that lady at the counter did something very uncool with your jewellery. Maybe she was changing shift and wrote her name and your name on the paper to get commission. Then when she left she didn't do a handover to the other lady? Very unprofessional. You spend your time driving to the shop, it is your petrol, and you are a good customer. I would have a word with the Manager. I'm really glad you are adding beautiful special finds.
