Off The Wall has sold over 20 million copies since its release August 29, 1979... I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that meantime dis For more context, it's a classic album and has produced some legendary singles. It's also a lot less flashy than all his future albums but vocally I'd consider it as perhaps his best!

@@christopherporter2459 Regardless of release date, those were all the albums to reach the #1 spot on Billboard, during the year 1984. "Sports" had the shortest stay, for only one week, but still amazing considering the company it had in the charts that year.

@@christopherporter2459 As stated in the video, Thriller and Sports were a couple of the number 1 albums in 1984 too. Sports was released in September 1983 but reached number 1 in June 1984. Thriller was released in 1982 but the song Thriller wasn't released as a single in the US til January 1984 (as the 7th single from the album). The music video having debuted a month earlier and was being played on TV a lot during 1984. So despite those two albums being released before 1984 they sold loads in 1984 more so than almost any other albums released in 1984 and so came to define that year too. I'm typing 1984 so much I sound like I'm one of those who takes Orwell's book a lil too seriously in the modern age. :P

DS guests are often fascinating people.. but I particularly love seeing a guest with hearing loss interviewed and integrated seamlessly just like anyone else, so it didn’t become the focus point or an otherwise limiting thing. Please keep having folks who happen to have disabilities on to talk about their expertise- and not doing it in a way that overly focuses on the disability itself. Huey is an absolute legend. Great to see his career continue to grow & progress even after hearing loss changed his options. Look forward to catching his musical when it comes to town.
